  • Patent number: 9906254
Abstract: Facilitating multiple subscriber identity support in a wireless user equipment (UE) device. A UE may include or be coupled to multiple subscriber identity modules (SIMs). The UE may be configured to perform cellular communications with a first cellular network using a first subscriber identity provided by a first SIM. The UE may also be configured to perform cellular communications with a second cellular network using a second subscriber identity provided by a second SIM. The cellular communications with the first cellular network and the second cellular network may be performed concurrently using shared radio resources.

  • Patent number: 9525453
Abstract: A transceiver device may include a transmit path that generates a modulated transmit signal based on a baseband signal, and a receive path that receives a receive signal, which is subject to third-order order distortion caused by intermodulation noise resulting from a continuous wave blocker intermodulating with transmit leakage from the transmit path. The transceiver may also include a compensation path that models portions of the transmit path and the receive path, and generates a replica signal representative of the third-order order distortion according to at least a specified function and the modeled portions of the transmit path and the receive path. The compensation path also filters the replica signal and subtracts the filtered replica signal from the receive signal to eliminate the third-order order distortion caused by the intermodulation noise. The filtering of the replica signal may be performed by programmable finite impulse response filters.

  • Patent number: 7855993
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for reducing power fluctuations during preamble training in a multiple antenna communication system using cyclic delays. A preamble having a legacy portion and a high throughput portion is transmitted (or received) on each of N antennas, wherein at least a portion of the preamble on a first of the N antennas is delayed relative to at least the portion of the preamble on a second of the N antennas, wherein the delay is non-orthogonal amount to introduce variation across the preambles transmitted on the N transmit antennas. The legacy portion may be, for example, an 802.11 a/g preamble.

  • Patent number: 7742390
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for improved long preamble formats in a multiple antenna communication system having N antennas. According to one aspect of the invention, a preamble having a legacy portion and a high throughput portion is transmitted (or received) on each of the N transmit antennas, wherein the legacy portion comprises a legacy long training field and the high throughput portion comprises at least N high throughput long training fields, wherein the N high throughput long training fields are transmitted in N time slots using an N×N orthogonal matrix. The orthogonal matrix can be, for example, one or more of a Walsh matrix and a Fourier matrix. The N time slots can optionally comprise a single symbol.

  • Patent number: 7742389
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for improved short preamble formats in a multiple antenna communication system having N antennas. A short preamble format having a legacy portion and a high throughput portion is transmitted (or received) on each of the N transmit antennas, wherein the legacy portion comprises a legacy long training field and the high throughput portion comprises N?1 high throughput long training fields. The legacy long training field and the N?1 high throughput long training fields can be transmitted in N time slots using an N×N orthogonal matrix, such as a Walsh matrix or a Fourier matrix. The N time slots can optionally comprise a single symbol. Backwards compatibility is optionally maintained by including a legacy short training field and a legacy signal field in the legacy portion of the short preamble.
