  • Publication number: 20200143451
Abstract: A real-time location and communications system may provide two-way communication in real-time between and among personal mobile devices and/or borrowed devices as well as fixed communication points and/or assets. The real-time location and communications system may be utilized to accept and provide on-premises service or ordering in real-time, as well as request and receive assistance in real-time. A push-for-service mechanism may be incorporated in a device that is associated with a user and may locate that user based on the location of the device. The user may be located in real-time both inside of a location and near the location. The location of the user may be updated in real-time when the user is mobile.

  • Publication number: 20200066052
Abstract: A system and a method for superimposing a garment onto an image or a real-time video of a user are disclosed. After a person captures an image or video of them self and after the person selects a garment that they wish to see them self virtually wearing, instructions executed by a processor may be used to overlay an image of the selected garment onto the image or video of the person. Images or a real-time video of the person may be captured from a reflection of the person in a mirror after which a computing device may generate a combined image of the person that depicts that person wearing a selected garment. Images of the garment overlaid over the captured images or video may show a user how the garment looks on their body from different angles or perspectives when they cannot physically touch the garment.

  • Patent number: 10505768
Abstract: An apparatus in a signal receiver, such as an optical signal receiver, is provided. An adaptive equalizer provides an equalized output indicative of a received signal. A feedback component receives the equalized output and provides feedback to the adaptive equalizer. A carrier recovery component receives the equalized output from the adaptive equalizer provides estimates of symbols. The carrier recovery component is partially or fully disjoint from the feedback component, thus removing the carrier recovery component from equalizer the feedback loop. The feedback component can include an initial carrier recovery component and a phase rotation and detection component. The initial carrier recovery component generates a carrier recovery output based on the equalized output. The phase rotation and detection component performs a phase rotation based on the carrier recovery output.

  • Patent number: 10439856
Abstract: A method for efficient generation of a narrowband IoT uplink signal includes generating an under-sampled sequence of samples of a narrowband IoT uplink signal, identifying symbol boundaries in the sequence of samples that do not correspond to sample times, for each symbol boundary that does not correspond to one of the sample times: extrapolating, from a signal phase value for a sample at a last sample time before the symbol boundary, a signal phase value for a sample at a first sample time after the symbol boundary; calculating and applying a phase jump to the sample at the first sample time after the symbol boundary to generate a new phase value for the sample at the first sample time after the symbol boundary, wherein the phase jump is applied from the phase value extrapolated from the last sample time before the symbol boundary; and using the new phase value for the first sample time after the symbol boundary to calculate amplitude of the sample at the first sample time after the symbol boundary.

  • Publication number: 20180375913
Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for management of content presentation within a user interface are presented. Certain embodiments are described that allow for the management of content presentation within a user interface. A channel management subsystem may manage the presentation of content to a user from one or more channels within the social network. The channel management subsystem may receive requests from one or more channels to present content to a user within a user interface (UI) of the social network. The channel management subsystem may grant or deny the received requests based on various rules or criteria. The channel management subsystem may help ensure that the user of the social network is not overwhelmed by the presentation of inorganic content or sponsored content within the UI of the social network.

  • Publication number: 20170257234
Abstract: An apparatus for performing fractionally spaced adaptive equalization with non-integer sub-symbol sampling has an adaptive equalizer that receives a continuous stream of input data having a non-integer, fractional delay between consecutive samples at a non-integer, sub-symbol rate and outputs a stream of equalized data based on tap weights of taps of the adaptive equalizer that are spaced at an interval corresponding to the non-integer, sub-symbol rate. The tap weights are updated independently of the fractional delay between consecutive samples of the input data using an error signal. An equalizer output alignment component downstream of the adaptive equalizer aligns the stream of equalized data with a corresponding transmitted symbol.
