  • Patent number: 11950242
Abstract: This disclosure relates to providing system information for cell access to link budget limited devices. According to some embodiments, a base station may transmit an announcement information block (MB) in a downlink shared data channel (e.g., PDSCH), wherein the AIB contains information useable by a UE in determining the location of system information in the downlink shared data channel. The UE can thus determine the location of and decode system information without having to decode a downlink control channel (e.g., PDCCH). This may be important for certain classes of devices, such as link budget limited devices, which have issues in decoding the downlink control channel. Improved paging scheduling techniques are also disclosed which more efficiently use PDCCH paging resources.

  • Patent number: 10028736
Abstract: A needle driver includes a first elongated body that defines an interior chamber. A second elongated body defines an interior space, and is slideable within the interior chamber defined by the first elongated body between a retracted position and an extended position. The needle driver also includes a clamping device having a clamping end and a connecting member, which is affixed to the first elongated body and coupled within the clamping end. A biasing shaft is slideably disposed within the interior space defined by the second elongated body. An actuator is affixed to the biasing shaft and is slideable in a proximal direction and a distal direction.

  • Patent number: 9210090
Abstract: A method for accessing (e.g., processing, storing, retrieving, etc.) network traffic data of a network. The method includes using separate data analysis device and data access device for capturing and analyzing network traffic data blocks concurrently and cooperatively to store and retrieve large amount of high speed network traffic data. In particular, the data analysis device and the data access device are synchronized using a linked set containing unique data block identifier and associated packet identifiers. The synchronization allows the data analysis device to focus on the full packet analysis task and the data access device to focus on the full packet storing and retrieving task without analyzing full packet content.

  • Patent number: 5442532
Abstract: The decorative fixtures of the present invention enable azimuthal directivity of the infrared detector in order to adjust the directivity of the infrared detector about a vertical axis in a manner which is aesthetically compatible with the decorative nature of the fixture. In one embodiment, a hexagonal fixture is turnable about a horizontal axis to pivot not only the infrared detector, but the motion detection circuitry as well. In another embodiment, the motion detection circuitry and the infrared detector are physically separate within the decorative fixture, enabling the infrared detector to pivot within a circular portion of the decorative fixture.

  • Patent number: 5442177
Abstract: A dusk delay system for outdoor motion detection provides the benefits of dusk to dawn, timed, and motion detection control. A dusk to dawn type sensor detects the onset of darkness and turns on the lights for a predetermined duration of time. Once the duration of time expires, the lights will be shut off. Subsequently, motion within the monitored area will be detected by a motion detector and cause the light to be turned on for a selectably predetermined amount of time. The timer can randomize the actual time in which the lighting controller shuts off the light and goes into the motion detection mode. A latch mechanism disables the operation of the system upon momentary interruption of the power.

  • Patent number: 5420764
Abstract: The socket/tab supported light fixture preferably incorporates a fluorescent lamp within an elongated housing that has projecting blades to be received in an electrical wall socket. The housing incorporates a tab extending to overlie the face plate screw of the wall socket, the tab including an opening to receive the face plate screw thereby to attach the light fixture to the wall socket. The light fixture also preferably includes an elongated pivoting shade that may be moved to adjust the illumination level provided by the light fixture to at least a portion of the illuminated area.
