  • Publication number: 20240117591
Abstract: Construction equipment includes a framework and at least one electric actuator for moving at least one element of the framework. The actuator includes a ball or roller screw system comprising a threaded rod and a nut forming a helical connection with the threaded rod, an electric motor for driving the rod in rotation around a longitudinal axis, thereby forcing the nut to move axially along the rod; a carriage which is axially connected with the nut, and axial guide means for guiding the movement of the carriage, wherein the guide means are fixed to the framework, at least one support element that connects, directly or indirectly, threaded rod to framework, wherein said support element is designed so that threaded rod can tilt, to some extent, relative to framework around any axis perpendicular to rod longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 10836616
Abstract: A crane includes a luffing jib and a lifting cylinder having a cylinder body and a movable rod hinged on the jib to displace the jib in lifting motion and in lowering motion, and a locking device adapted to cooperate with the lifting cylinder to mechanically lock the rod in a deployed holding position and block the jib in a raised holding configuration. The crane further includes a spacer hinged on the jib and supporting a stop, the spacer pivotable between a release position in which the spacer is shifted, allowing the movable rod to be freely displaced, and a locking position in which the spacer is folded so that the stop is capable of abutting on a bearing surface in a ball jointed connection with the cylinder body, to fixedly hold the movable rod in the deployed holding position.

  • Publication number: 20100183630
Abstract: Surprisingly, the present inventors have discovered that expression of TAT-005 protein in human patients is associated with cancer, and that the over-expressed protein is present in plasma membrane fractions. Thus, the present inventors have discovered that TAT-005 is associated with abnormal development and growth, and may be useful as a target for the identification of anti-cancer com\ pounds, including antibodies for use in immunotherapy. Accordingly, the present invention provides methods for the identification of compounds that inhibit TAT-005 expression or activity, comprising: contacting a candidate compound with a TAT-005 and detecting the presence or absence of binding between said compound and said TAT-005, or detecting a change in TAT-005 expression or activity. Methods are also included for the identification of compounds that modulate TAT-005 expression or activity, comprising: administering a compound to a cell or cell population, and detecting a change in TAT-005 expression or activity.

  • Publication number: 20030064359
Abstract: The invention features a method for purifying a cell surface plasma membrane, the method including the steps of: (a) contacting a biological sample with an antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof that specifically binds to a plasma membrane antigen, thereby forming an antibody/plasma membrane complex; and (b) recovering the antibody/plasma membrane complex, thereby purifying the plasma membrane from the biological sample. The invention further features methods for identifying plasma membrane polypeptides using mass spectrometry and purified plasma membrane fractions.
