  • Patent number: 11366215
Abstract: A radar includes an antenna having a radiating pattern forming a sum channel, a radiating pattern forming a difference channel and a pattern forming a control channel, and generates at least interrogation messages on the sum channel and interrogation messages on the control channel; transmits messages via the sum channel and via the control channel respectively, and receives and processes signals received via the sum, difference, and control channels, configured for detecting replies of targets on the signals received via the sum and difference channels and carrying out monopulse processing and RSLS processing on the replies.

  • Publication number: 20210325527
Abstract: The radar includes an antenna having a radiation pattern forming a sum channel, SUM, a radiation pattern forming a difference channel, DIFF, and a pattern forming a control channel, CONT, a first transmission and reception chain being associated with the SUM channel and a second transmission and reception chain being associated with the CONT channel, a reception channel being associated with the DIFF channel. Each of the transmission and reception chains is able to transmit and to receive simultaneously, the transmission chain comprising a filtering operation that filters signals transmitted at 1090 MHz and the reception chain comprising a filtering operation that filter signals transmitted at 1030 MHz, in such a way that the chains operate independently of one another.

  • Patent number: 6890106
Abstract: A package is described. In one embodiment, the package includes multiple optical elements and multiple flexures, with at least one optical element attached to each flexure. The optical elements may be in alignment with each other. In an alternative embodiment, multiple optical elements are attached to a single flexure.

  • Publication number: 20050094696
Abstract: A laser device that includes structure to tap laser output energy, e.g., to measure output power levels, is provided. The laser device includes a laser source and an optical objective that is able to couple laser energy from the laser device to an output device, such as a fiber. The laser device also includes an optical isolator to prevent back reflections and back scattered light from impinging on the laser device. Normally, the only function of the optical isolator is to ensure that no light reflects back toward the laser source. In an example, the isolator provides a reflection of the laser beam to a monitor photodiode. A front face of the optical isolator is tilted relative to the laser source and the lens to reflect a portion of the laser output energy back into the lens, which may focus the reflected portion onto a photodiode. The photodiode may be used to measure the intensity of the laser output energy. In some embodiments, the objective is a single lens; in others, multiple lenses may be used.

  • Publication number: 20050094685
Abstract: A wavelength locker for monitoring the wavelength drift of a laser uses a pair of detectors for detecting a power component of the laser beam and a wavelength component of the laser beam, respectively. Various positionings of the power detector and/or variations to the collimating lens provide a compact arrangement with fewer components.
