  • Patent number: 11138795
Abstract: In a situation where a capturing device is capturing a first image of a scene comprising a display device displaying a second image, a salient idea is to send both the captured first image and the second image, being displayed by the display device to a processing device, for comparatively processing the first and the second image to determine a characteristic associated with the display device. Being able to process the first image (comprising a displayed second image) together with the original second image advantageously allows to determine various characteristics associated with the display device that altered the displayed second image within the first image, making it different from the initial second image. Characteristics associated with the display device are for example a specular reflection occurring on the display device in the scene and disturbing the capture of the scene.

  • Publication number: 20170337709
Abstract: A method to determine a chromatic component of illumination sources of an image is described. The method includes segmenting the image into segmenting areas and clustering representative color variations into chrominance clusters. For each segmenting area at least one representative color variation is computed between pixels positioned in the segmenting area. In each chrominance cluster, a principal direction along which representative color variations of this chrominance cluster have the highest luminance variation components, the chromatic components of the intersection of this principal direction with the plane of highest luminance being then considered as the chromatic component of the illumination source of this chrominance cluster.

  • Publication number: 20110294390
Abstract: A modular system for forming without tools a variety of 3-dimensional structures comprises panels (10), and connectors (13, 14), and locking bridging members (30) for assembling the panels (10) together in a desired configuration. The panels can be disconnected so that the erected structure can be disassembled with ease for future reuse. The system can be used to erect children's playhouses made of polymer materials, as well as in a large variety of other applications to create 3-dimensional objects requiring rapid positive construction without tools.
