  • Publication number: 20170370772
Abstract: An LED spectrofluorometer (100) for analysis of an object (101) includes a light excitation element (11, 112, 113) suitable for illuminating a study zone (101B) of the object with an excitation light beam (1), and an optical routing element (121, 122, 123, 124) suitable for collecting a fluorescent light flux (2) emitted by the study zone excited by the excitation light beam and for routing the fluorescent light flux to an optical spectrometer (131) for analysis of the light spectrum thereof. The light excitation element includes a first light-emitting diode (111) and a second-light emitting diode (112), the first light-emitting diode emitting at a first wavelength (?1) between 250 and 300 nm and the excitation light beam being formed from one or other of the light beams generated by each light-emitting diode.

  • Patent number: 5417896
Abstract: Sheet-like PET materials having slight surface roughness consisting of fine dot patterns in the submicron range are produced by double successive exposure of the surfaces to polarized UV light produced by a pulsed excimer laser and having planes of polarization arranged at an angle of from 20.degree. to 90.degree. relative to one another, and the PET films treated in this manner are used as a substrate for thin ferromagnetic metal layers.

  • Patent number: 5235463
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for the making of microlenses for optical applications (display for example) resulting from the deposition of a liquid on a substrate, the surface of which has been locally modified so as to increase the wetting capacity of the liquid thereon. The substrate may be a polymer and the wetting liquid may be an organic fluid capable of hardening by an adapted treatment.

  • Patent number: 4306099
Abstract: Perillic alcohol is prepared by allowing beta-pinene epoxide to react with an aqueous suspension of mercuric salt, after this, the organic fraction is removed from the reaction medium, and treated with an inorganic acid. If the inorganic fraction is left untreated, 7, 8-dihydroxy-1-paramenthene is obtained. Perillic alcohol and derivatives thereof are used in the fields of perfumery, cosmetics and soaps.
