  • Patent number: 9821608
Abstract: The tire (10B) comprises a tread (12) including a running layer (14) which is intended to come into contact with the ground when the tire (10B) rolls on the ground, and a sublayer (16) located radially inwards from the running layer (14). The tread (12) comprises at least one fluid passage (22) between the sublayer (16) and the air surrounding the tire (10B). The sublayer (16) comprises a cellular material. The fluid passage (22) comprises an element chosen from a groove (20) and a cut (26), formed in the running layer (14) and extended by at least one well (28) acting as a radial extension of the element, formed between the groove (20) and/or the cut (26) and the sublayer (16). Each well (28) forms a localized part of the fluid passage (22).

  • Publication number: 20160152095
Abstract: A tire made of rubber material having a sidewall and a marking. This marking is positioned in a housing recessed into the sidewall. The tire includes a texture having a plurality of strands distributed at a density at least equal to five strands per square millimeter (mm2), each strand having a mean cross section of between 0.0007 mm2 and 0.06 mm2 and/or the texture having a plurality of substantially mutually parallel lamellae, the spacing of the lamellae being at most equal to 0.5 mm, each lamella having a mean width of between 0.03 mm and 0.3 mm. The texture surrounds all or part of the marking in the housing.

  • Patent number: 9333810
Abstract: Vulcanizing device with radially mobile segments comprising: a bottom plate supporting a bottom shell for molding a tire sidewall, an axially mobile top plate supporting a top shell for molding a tire sidewall, an axially mobile closure ring comprising an inclined interior face, a plurality of circumferentially arranged adjacent segments of which the interior radial faces comprise linings for molding the tread of the tire and of which the inclined exterior radial faces are able to collaborate with: first means of coupling with the closure ring which are produced in such a way that the axial movements of the closure ring involve a radial movement of the segments, and second means of coupling the segments to the top plate which are able to connect the segments to the top plate and to allow their radial movement, the said second means of coupling being adjustable on the circumference of the top plate.

  • Publication number: 20130206291
Abstract: The invention relates to a tire tread for a passenger vehicle comprising a tread surface designed to come into contact with a ground when this tire is running. The tread comprises at least one internal cavity of elongate overall shape with a total length LC and width WC and a sipe less than 2 mm wide beginning partly or totally on the cavity. The sipe extends the cavity over the whole of the length LC while extending radially outwards in order to emerge on the tread surface. The cavity comprises a bottom and two lateral walls surrounding this bottom and extending in the length LC of the cavity. The bottom comprises a message intended for an observer of the tire and the message is at a distance from at least one lateral wall of the cavity, the distance between the message and the said lateral wall being at least equal to 5% of the width WC of the cavity.
