  • Patent number: 7427724
Abstract: An invention proposes a switch comprising a lower casing in the bottom of which are placed two contact elements. A trip member is elastically deformable through the action of an actuating member. At least one light source is supported by a support plate which straddles the actuating member and has terminals for electrical connection of the light source. The lower face of the support plate rests on the lower casing. The electrical connection terminals of the light source extend outwards from the casing along the vertical lateral faces of the casing.

  • Patent number: 7029306
Abstract: A compact smart card connector that can hold and connect to two smart cards (Cs, Ci) includes a base plate (42) that holds base contacts (46) and a cover plate (44) that holds cover contacts (54) and that is pivotally connected to the base plate. An intermediate plate device (36) holds first and second smart cards (Cs, Ci) respectively against its upper and lower surfaces (35, 39) with contact pads (Ps) of the cards facing away from the plate. The intermediate plate lies between the base and cover, so when the cover is pushed down, this pushes the cards against the base and cover contacts. The intermediate plate device has coupling plates (130) with slots that allow the intermediate plate device to slide to lock the cover in its lowered position.

  • Publication number: 20060059746
Abstract: A frame (14) that includes a smart card connector (12), is mounted primarily behind a window (18) in a panel (16) so a smart card can be inserted rearwardly though the window and against contacts that read and/or write to the card. The panel has window edge portions that lie around the window, and the frame includes a pair of lugs (42) that are projected into the window and that are then raised so lug slots (45) receive an upper edge portion of the window. The frame also has a pair of fingers (60) that are resiliently biased forwardly, that press against the rear of the panel when the lugs are first projected into the window, and that snap forward and lie against window lower edge portions when the lugs are raised. The fingers lie at the ends of laterally extending beams that project from a main portion of the frame. The lugs and fingers form ramps (56, 78) that vertically guide the leading edge of a card being inserted, and the lugs form side guides (112).

  • Publication number: 20050233645
Abstract: A smart card receiver with a card receiving cavity, has upper and lower sets of contact blades for engaging the card contact pads when the card is inserted in the ususal orientation with its contacts pads facing downwardly, or when inserted in a second orientation with its contact pads facing upwardly. The card receiver has card confining-walls that are preferably devoid of a polarizing wall, so the card is inserted in the same position whether the card is inserted right-side-up or upside-down. The upper contact blades are transversely offset from the lower contact blades, to enable the reading of cards whose contact pads are offset from an imaginary centerline of the card. The housing of the card receiver includes an upper structure that forms the upper wall of the cavity at the contact blades, with the upper structure having downward projections at the front and rear of the receiver that form both upper and lower walls of the card-receiving cavity.
