  • Patent number: 11642444
Abstract: An interface device between external equipment and at least a venous tube for transferring fluid to a patient, the interface device having at least a first port adapted to be connected to an outlet port of the external equipment; and a venous port carried by a stator of the interface device in order to inject the fluid into the venous tube. The interface device includes a third port, the first port and the third port being carried by a movable assembly that is movable relative to the stator, the interface device being arranged to pass from any one of its configurations to another one of its configurations by the movable assembly moving relative to the stator.

  • Publication number: 20220168139
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) for treating a coronary lesion (2), the device comprising a coronary angioplasty catheter (3) presenting a first lumen (3c) for passing a guide wire (5) for guiding the catheter (3), and at least one balloon (3b) situated at said distal portion and connected to a second lumen for controlling the balloon (3d). The device further comprises a heat exchanger (6), a pump (7), and at least one first coupling (8a) for coupling the device with a liquid reservoir (R) external to the device (1), the pump (7) being in fluid flow connection with the first coupling (8a), with the heat exchanger (6), and with the first lumen (3c) so as to force a flow of the liquid from the first coupling (8a) to the distal end of the first lumen (3c), after passing through the heat exchanger (R).

  • Publication number: 20200129689
Abstract: Interface device between a hemodialysis machine and venous and arterial tubes, this interface device comprising: a first port adapted to be connected to an output port of the hemodialysis machine; a venous port to inject blood into the venous tube; said interface device comprises: a second port adapted to be connected to an input port of the hemodialysis machine; an arterial port for receiving blood from the patient from the arterial tube, the interface device being further adapted to selectively allow or prohibit the passage of blood between the first and second ports and the venous and arterial ports respectively.

  • Patent number: 5814102
Abstract: A method for dynamically training a skeletal muscle (1) to be used for a biomechanical heart involves wrapping the skeletal muscle (1) around a deformable training device (2) which can contract, resistance to contraction being provided, and recover its initial form. The skeletal muscle (1) is stimulated by periodic electrical impulses. In a first stage, the skeletal muscle (1) is stimulated by electrical impulses at a frequency increasing with time, and in a second stage the contraction resistance of the deformable training device (2) is increased progressively, the first and second stages possibly overlapping slightly. A biomechanical heart operated by a skeletal muscle (1) having undergone the dynamic training is also disclosed.
