    Abstract: An Aluminium alloy composition for a sliding element may include: 4 wt % to 8 wt % of Tin; 4 wt % to 8 wt % of Silicon; 0.4 wt % to 1.7 wt % of Copper; and 0.1 wt % to 1 wt % of Manganese. The composition may also include at least one of: 0.4 wt % to 2.0 wt % of Nickel; 0.01 wt % to 0.3 wt % of Zirconium; 0.05 wt % to 0.3 wt % of Vanadium; 0.05 wt % to 0.5 wt % of Scandium; and 0.05 wt % to 1 wt % of Erbium.
