  • Patent number: 7115133
Abstract: A size measurer, comprising a main body with a sensor-head not fixed to the main body, so that a main pointer is moved in accordance with the adjustment opposite a range which includes several markers corresponding to the sizes of the available implants, characterised by the fact that it includes a slider fitted separately in relation to the main body, the slider including a first pointer and a second pointer, the first pointer being fitted in a such a way as to be moved, after the sliding of the slider, opposite the said range, and the second slider being moved, after the movement of the slider, opposite the gradations positioned on a fixed area in relation to the main body, the distance between the two points of the slider being such that when the first pointer is opposite the markers corresponding to one of the sizes of the available implants, the second pointer indicates by the gradations the height, in millimetres for example, of the posterior cut to be made in order that the implant is perfectly flush w

  • Publication number: 20060136066
Abstract: Full knee prosthesis having a tibial part, a tibial insert and a femoral part comprising two condyles between which extends a femoral stud of a cylindrical shape in order to define an opening into which passes a tibial stud projecting from the tibial insert, the tibial insert having concave upper surfaces in contact with the convex outer surfaces of the condyles, the contact being defined by a contact zone having a central point, characterised in that the curve delimiting the transverse cross-section of the femoral stud is defined so that the central point of the contact zone undergoes a rearward translation (posterior recoil) which decreases according to the angle of flexion from a flexion of about 30° to become zero for an angle of flexion of 80 to 90°, and remains zero to a maximum flexion of 120-130°.

  • Publication number: 20040243245
Abstract: Tibial insert (1) of a so-called postero-stabilised prosthesis, having a tibial stud (2) projecting perpendicularly from the base of the insert, and having a face (6) turned towards the posterior side, characterised in that in transverse cross-section in the sagittal, or antero-posterior, plane, the posterior face (6) defines a curve, a so-called contact curve, which is, at least partially, in the from of a concave curve with its concavity turned towards the posterior side, a point (22) on the curve, in particular the summit, remote from the base, being more posterior than other points (25) on the curve, in particular most of the other points on the curve.

  • Publication number: 20040225368
Abstract: A tibial insert of a complete posterior stabilised knee prosthesis, noticeably of a trial prosthesis, has a base (5) on the upper part of which are formed one or several concave contact surfaces with one or several condyles of a femoral part, and a tibial stud (6) made to protrude, particularly perpendicularly from the base. The tibial stud is detachable from the base, and comprises a pin (12), coming from its lower surface, of a greater length than the thickness of the base. The base includes a bore (9) through which the tibial stud passes made to protrude below the lower surface than the base, opposite the upper surface.
