  • Patent number: 4653385
Abstract: An air intake grille has an air flow guide member mounted on a housing in such a manner that the direction of air flow can be adjusted using a control member. The air flow guide member is constituted by a sheet assembly formed by laminating a multiplicity of perforated sheets. The sheet assembly is retained by retainers in such a manner that the sheets can slide so as to be stepwisely offset from each other. Further, the sheet assembly is mounted on the housing in such a manner as to be pivotal with respect to a fixed plane, which is the front surface of the housing, or a fixed plane parallel to the front surface. The air intake grille with the above arrangement enables the air flow guide member to be orientated to any desired direction in a single operation of the control member.
