  • Patent number: 7791550
Abstract: An on-vehicle film antenna is constructed with a loop antenna and a monopole antenna and attached to a vehicle windshield. The loop antenna has a first element set in length to correspond to a first radio wave of a first frequency band. One end of the first element is connected to a power supply near a border section between a vehicle chassis and the vehicle windshield, and the other end of the first element is connected to the vehicle chassis. The monopole antenna has a second element set in length to correspond to a second radio wave of a second frequency band. One end of the second element is connected to the power supply near the border section in common with the one end of the first element, and the other end of the second element is disconnected from the vehicle chassis.

  • Patent number: 7446719
Abstract: In a mobile antenna, an electrically conductive antenna element has a first portion with one end and the other end extending therefrom. The one end of the first portion is arranged at least adjacent to any one of a first support portion, a second support portion, and a corner portion of a body of a vehicle. The one end of the first portion is electrically connected to a feeding point. The other end of the first portion is arranged along a surface of the window such that polarized surfaces formed by the antenna element are non-orthogonal to a polarized surface of each of a vertically polarized wave and a horizontally polarized wave in radio waves.

  • Patent number: 6965347
Abstract: A receiver includes a circuit board and a dielectric antenna. The circuit board has a receiving circuit on a first surface, and a ground pattern on a second surface. The circuit board is disposed close to a rear window of a vehicle so that the ground pattern faces a roof panel. The dielectric antenna extends from an edge of the circuit board toward and along the rear window. As a result, the roof panel capacitively couples with the ground pattern, so that the roof panel becomes imaginary ground. The dielectric antenna functions as a monopole antenna with the imaginary ground. It is not influenced with a metallic material of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20040135678
Abstract: In a radio receiver integrated vehicular meter unit, a receiver circuit of the radio receiver is arranged on the side of a meter circuit board opposite to the side on which a CPU and a communication IC included in a meter circuit are mounted. The distance between the receiver circuit board and the CPU or the communication IC increases by the thickness of the meter circuit board. As a result, a receiver circuit formed on the receiver circuit board is less affected by noise caused by the CPU or the communication IC.
