  • Patent number: 11948754
Abstract: A three-terminal capacitor includes a main body having a cylindrical or substantially cylindrical shape extending in a first direction and including first and second inner electrodes alternately laminated together with dielectric layers interposed therebetween, a pair of first outer electrodes on two end surfaces of the main body in the first direction and electrically connected to the first inner electrodes, and a second outer electrode electrically connected to the second inner electrodes. The main body includes a projecting portion projecting in a direction perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to the first direction at a position between the pair of first outer electrodes. The second outer electrode is provided on one surface of the projecting portion viewable when viewed in the first direction.

  • Patent number: 4573016
Abstract: An underground continuous length item is detected by preparing an electrically conductive wire constituted by covering a flexible metallic core wire with an outer coating layer made of a flexible and electrically conductive high polymeric organic material, positioning the electrically conductive wire under the ground along the underground continuous length item, supplying a high frequency current to the electrically conductive wire, and receiving electromagnetic waves emitted therefrom, thereby detecting the location of the underground continuous length item. Since electric current is propagated through the ground via the coating layer of the wire upon supply of high frequency power to the wire, it becomes possible to detect from the ground surface the location of the continuous length item in the event that the wire is cut.

Abstract: An arrangement for detecting an underground continuous length item includes an electrically conductive wire constituted by covering a flexible metallic core wire with an outer coating layer made of a flexible and electrically conductive high polymeric organic material. The electrically conductive wire is positioned under the ground along the underground continuous length item and is supplied with a high frequency current. Electromagnetic waves are emitted from the wire therefrom for detecting the location of the underground continuous length item located underground. Since electric current is propagated through the ground via the coating layer of the wire upon supply of high frequency power to the wire, whereby it becomes possible to detect from the ground surface the location of the continuous length item located underground in the case where the wire is cut.

  • Patent number: 4245674
Abstract: Thermoshrinkable or thermoexpansive tubes for corrosion prevention or lin of piping are disclosed which have their inner and/or outer walls covered with at least one protective cover to keep them clean from dust, dirt, water or any other foreign matter which might interfere with adhesion to the pipe connection, thus causing corrosion or poor lining.
