  • Patent number: 5559682
Abstract: A diode, a condenser and a switching element are connected to a primary winding of a flat type transformer such as a wire type transformer. A citation energy discharged during an off-condition of the switching element, namely a reset period of the transformer, is accumulated in the condenser. An output voltage is obtained from the condenser. Two system direct current voltage output can be obtained from one transformer. Since the two system direct current voltage output can be obtained from the transformer having a pair of a primary winding and a secondary winding, the volume and the weight of the transformer can be reduced and the compact and the slim of the machine apparatus being mounted can be contributed. Making the small winding ratio of the transformer, the copper loss of the transformer can be reduced. By using MOS synchronous rectification, the loss in the circuit can be reduced. It is unnecessary to select highly the switching frequency.

  • Patent number: 5502430
Abstract: A flat transformer has a coil body. The coil body is formed by winding plural insulated conductive wires. Each of the plural insulated conductive wires has a conductor having a circular shaped cross-section, and an outer peripheral portion of the conductor is coated by an insulating coating. A part of plural insulated conductive wires is used to form a primary winding and the remainder of the plural insulated conductive wires is used to form a secondary winding. A flat transformer may also have plural coil bodies. The plural coil bodies may be wound at plural stages. A part of the plural coil bodies is may be used to form a primary winding and the remainder of plural coil bodies may be used to form a secondary winding. The flat transformer can operate stably at a high frequency with a small loss.

  • Patent number: 5497866
Abstract: A current collecting apparatus provided with sliders 2 for collecting electric power from a power feeder 1, a current collector 3 for collecting power, an insulator for insulating and supporting the current collector 3, and a flexible conductor for delivering the power collected by the current collector 3 to a conductor 5, which is connected to the flexible conductor and used for supplying the power to the vehicle side. The conductor 5 and the insulator 4 are disposed so that the former is offset with respect to the latter in the crosswise direction of a railway vehicle. With this arrangement, aerodynamic noise emanating from the current collector loaded on the vehicle running at high speed can be substantially reduced.

  • Patent number: 4525791
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for reducing vibrations generated in a stationary induction apparatus by detecting the vibration and by applying a vibration applying force capable of suppressing the detected vibrations to the stationary induction apparatus by at least one vibration applying device, in which the phase and amplitude of the vibration applying force of the vibration applying device are successively and repeatedly adjusted so as to decrease the sum of squares of the respective amplitudes of vibration detected by the vibration sensors. A calculation for obtaining the sum of squares of the detected amplitudes of vibration and the control of the phase and amplitude of the vibration applying force based upon the calculated sum of squares may be carried out in accordance with a program stored in a microcomputer.

  • Patent number: 4435751
Abstract: A vibration/noise reducing device for applying contrary vibrations/sound waves whose phases are substantially opposite to vibrations/noises generated from an electrical apparatus is disclosed, in which the vibrations/noises from the electrical apparatus are sensed by a sensor, the sensed analog time-domain signal is A/D converted, the resulting digital time-domain signal is then Fourier-transformed, the resulting Fourier-transformed digital frequency-domain signal is modified in its amplitude/phase to produce a second digital frequency-domain signal for generating a vibration/noise reducing control signal, the second digital-frequency-domain signal is inverse-Fourier-transformed, the resulting inverse-Fourier transformed second digital time-domain signal is D/A converted, and the resulting analog time-domain signal is used as the control signal to generate the contrary vibration/sound waves to be applied to the vibrations/noises.
