    Abstract: Some embodiments relate to a method of establishing a connection between user equipment and a base station of a radio network, wherein connection parameters used to establish a first connection between the user equipment and the base station are stored in a memory of the user equipment and in a memory of the base station prior to the release of the first connection. The method comprises comparing the stored connection parameters with connection parameters to be used to establish a second connection between the user equipment and the base station, generating a connection establishment request comprising the connection parameters to be used for establishing the second connection that differ from the stored connection parameters, and transmitting the connection establishment request to the base station.
