  • Publication number: 20140288471
Abstract: A device and method are provided for therapy and treatment of biological tissue such as muscle, tendon, and ligament tissue, by use of a device and method in which therapeutic vibrational frequency resonance patterns are transmitted to tissues of a patient. The resonance frequencies originate from many resonance domains, including vitamins, minerals, herbs, amino acids, and fatty acids. Each domain includes therapeutic frequency resonance patterns. These resonance patterns are identified, captured, and ultimately delivered to a mineral matrix component of the device. The combined resonance patterns are embedded in a mineral matrix that includes selected minerals and elements and is capable of retaining the combined or master frequency resonance patterns for a period of time. Resonance frequencies retained by the mineral matrix are transmitted to a patient to enhance tissue function, to decrease the normal rehabilitation time of a damaged tissue, and provide therapeutic benefits for muscle tissue dysfunction.

  • Patent number: 6015583
Abstract: A package which allows for butchering and packaging of a fresh red meat product at a centralized facility is provided. The package includes a support member which contains the product; a first, preferably permeable film sealed to the support member for enclosing the product; a second, preferably impermeable film enclosing the first film and removably secured to the package; and labeling means including a label removably affixed to an outer surface of the support member. Upon removal of the second film, the label may be removed from the outer surface of the support member and adhered to the first film, thereby providing a package labeled with individualized information relating to the particular product.

  • Patent number: 5896994
Abstract: An oxygen scavenger film strip is included in various package configurations. The film strip is discrete and therefore can be used as a strip of any suitable length or width, to cover all or part of an oxygen-sensitive article in the package. The film strip can be used in conjunction with any suitable covering films, forming or non-forming webs, substrates, or trays; and in any suitable packaging systems such as HFFS, VFFS, VSP, modified atmosphere, thermoform/lidding, and the like. Because the film strip is made separately from the packaging films used in the particular package, the primary packaging does not have to be compromised by modifications needed to accommodate an oxygen scavenging functionality in the packaging material. The use of a discrete film strip also offers great latitude and efficiency in the dimensions of the film strip with respect to the overall package dimensions, and the placement of the film strip with respect to the packaged article.

  • Patent number: 5591468
Abstract: A package and a method for making a package which allows for the central processing of fresh red meat is disclosed which includes a tray, a first film enclosing the product within the tray and a second film, which is removed at retail, enclosing the first film. The first film and the second film are sealed to the inner periphery and the outer periphery, respectively, of the single flange of a conventional foamed or nonfoamed tray. The first film is a heat shrinkable film which is sealed to the inner periphery of the flange forming a first seal, trimmed outboard of the first seal, thereby forming an excess portion of the first film outboard of the first seal, and then subjected to a sufficiently high temperature to shrink the excess portion and thereby expose a sealing area on the outer periphery of the flange. The second film is then sealed to the sealing area on the outer periphery of the flange, forming a second seal such that the second film encloses the first film.

  • Patent number: 4536994
Abstract: A device comprising a slotted cylindrical tube mounted on a mandrel is used to sand curved and irregular surfaces. This is achieved by wrapping an abrasive paper strip around the tube. The strip is locked in place by making a fold in the abrasive strip and inserting both of its ends through the slot, around the mandrel, and back through the slot again. The mandrel is designed to fit within a drill chuck.
