    Abstract: The disclosed jack assembly is used to lift the frame of a railcar above a wheeled truck assembly in order to replace or perform maintenance upon the wheeled truck assembly. The jack assembly comprises a pair of hydraulically-powered lifting mechanisms located at opposing ends of a railcar-engaging member, such that the lifting mechanisms and the railcar-engaging member move as a unit to raise the frame of the railcar.
