  • Publication number: 20220035007
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for a vibrated polarizing beam splitter for improved return light. An example method may involve emitting, by an emitter, a first light pulse. The example method may also involve reflecting, by a polarizing beam splitter in a first position, the first light pulse, wherein the polarizing beam splitter is at a first angle of incidence in the first position. The example method may also involve adjusting, subsequent to the polarizing beam splitter reflecting the first light pulse, a position of the polarizing beam splitter from the first position to a second position, wherein the polarizing beam splitter is at a second angle of incidence in the second position. The example method may also involve transmitting, by the polarizing beam splitter, a return light pulse through the polarizing beam splitter, the return light pulse based on the first light pulse. The example method may also involve detecting, by a detector, the return light pulse.

  • Publication number: 20220035002
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for systems and methods for improved LIDAR return light capture efficiency. One example method may include emitting, by an emitter, a first light pulse in a first path. The example method may also include transmitting, by a polarizing beam splitter in the first path and aligned with an aperture of a reflective element, a portion of the first light pulse, wherein the reflective element is disposed of in the first path. The example method may also include reflecting, by a reflective surface of the reflective element, a second light pulse in a second path, the second light pulse including a return pulse based on the first light pulse being reflected from an object. The example method may also include detecting, by a detector, the detector disposed in the second path of the second light pulse.

  • Publication number: 20220023121
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method of positioning a patient. The patient is provided on a support surface, an inflatable positioning mattress disposed between the patient and the support surface. Air flow into the inflatable positioning mattress is initiated to inflate the inflatable positioning mattress. A downward force is applied on the inflatable positioning mattress proximate to a first side of the support surface. A portion of the inflatable positioning mattress proximate to a second side of the support surface is raised. At least one wedge is positioned beneath the inflatable positioning mattress. Subsequently, the patient is lowered onto the at least one wedge.

  • Publication number: 20210397634
Abstract: An apparatus comprises a processing device configured to select a first data field of a first type that is associated with a second data field of a second type in a document, to determine an embedding of terms of unstructured text data in the first data field and to identify a subset of paired data fields from an unstructured text database based at least in part on metrics characterizing similarity between (i) the embedding of terms in the first data field and (ii) embeddings of terms in data fields of the first type in the paired data fields. The processing device is further configured to determine syntactic differences between the unstructured text data in the first data field and the identified subset of paired data fields, and to provide recommendations for unstructured text data to fill the second data field in the document based on the syntactic differences.

  • Patent number: 11201891
Abstract: A method includes identifying two or more vulnerabilities, each vulnerability affecting a set of one or more assets of an enterprise system. The method also includes assigning a weight to each vulnerability, the weight assigned to each of the vulnerabilities being based at least in part on the set of assets affected by that vulnerability, asset criticalities associated with the set of assets affected by that vulnerability, and at least one of (i) an exploitability potential of that vulnerability and (ii) an impact potential of that vulnerability. The method further includes determining an order in which to apply remediation actions in the enterprise system to address at least one of the vulnerabilities based at least in part on the weights assigned to the vulnerabilities, and applying, in accordance with the determined order, at least one of the remediation actions to at least one of the assets in the enterprise system.

  • Publication number: 20210369892
Abstract: System and method for pathogen inactivation with UV-C light (employed by itself or in addition to filtering out particulates rom the flow of air reaching the user) by delivering, into a lightguide portion of the air inactivation chamber of the system, a dose of ultraviolet radiation sufficient for at least one log reduction level of the pathogen while, at the same time, multiply reflecting the light inside the chamber to increase the irradiance of inactivating light several fold (up to 5×, or even up to 8.6×) as compared to that delivered to the chamber.

  • Patent number: 11164375
Abstract: A computer program product may cause one or more processors to generate stereoscopic images of one or more 3D models within a 3D model space. As part of the generation of the stereoscopic images, special case surfaces that are non-flat and specularly reflective or refractive are rendered in a special manner. The special manner involves rendering a texture for the special case surface based on a third projection corresponding to a third viewpoint that is spaced from both a first viewpoint (i.e., a left eye viewpoint) and a second viewpoint (i.e., a right eye viewpoint). Accordingly, when rendering first and second images (i.e., images corresponding respectively to the first and second viewpoints), the texture corresponding to the third viewpoint may be applied to the special case surface in both the first and second images.

  • Patent number: 11151246
Abstract: A method in an illustrative embodiment comprises receiving a plurality of indicators relating to an entity of a computer network, arranging the indicators in a plurality of categories of increasing risk, assigning weights to the indicators in the categories as a function of the number of categories and the number of indicators in each category, generating a risk score for the indicators based at least in part on the assigned weights, and initiating at least one automated action relating to the entity of the computer network based at least in part on the risk score. The risk score generation is configured such that a weighted contribution to the risk score of indicators in a relatively low one of the categories decreases as a number of indicators in a relatively high one of the categories increases. Similarly, a weighted contribution to the risk score of indicators in a relatively low one of the categories increases as a number of indicators in a relatively high one of the categories decreases.
