  • Patent number: 10933492
Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods of additive manufacturing are disclosed. In one embodiment, a metal deposition device (MDD) is configured to deposit a metal material during an additive manufacturing process. A controller is operatively coupled to the MDD and is configured to command the MDD to deposit the metal material on a base to form a contour of a part. The controller is configured to command the MDD to deposit the metal material on the base to form an infill pattern within a region outlined by the contour. The infill pattern is a wave shape having a wavelength. The controller is configured to command the metal deposition device to fuse the infill pattern to the metal contour at crossover points, where the infill pattern meets the contour, by applying energy at the crossover points and reducing a deposition rate of the metal material at the crossover points to prevent distorting the contour.

  • Patent number: 10876457
Abstract: Systems, devices, methods and programs for reducing emissions from engines are provided. For example, one system for reducing emissions from engines comprises a heating controller coupled to an energy storage device (ESD). The heating controller is configured to control a heating element to heat one or more components of an after-treatment system using energy from the ESD under a first condition and to control the heating element to stop heating the one or more components of the after-treatment system when a second condition is satisfied. Additionally, another system for reducing emissions from engines comprises a controller detecting a decrease in a demanded torque from an engine and an ISG. The controller is then configured to operate a clutch to disengage the engine from the ISG, if after removing fuel from the engine, the sensed speed of the engine is above a threshold.

  • Patent number: 10799056
Abstract: A motorized window covering system is presented having a rotatable drive element having a guide structure and a plurality of idler attachment elements and at least one drive element positioned over the rotatable drive element. A motor is connected to the rotatable drive element and controls operation of the window covering. An external battery tube assembly is connected by a conduit to the rotatable drive element and is configured to provide power to the motor. The external battery tube assembly includes a switch and controls operation of the motorized window covering. When pulled or lifted the external battery tube assembly initiates movement, stops movement or reverses movement of the motor. In this way, the system provides a unique way of controlling operation of a motorized window covering.

  • Patent number: 10577858
Abstract: A method of operating a motorized window covering is presented wherein in response to a standard movement command power is supplied to a motor in a continuous or generally continuous manner thereby moving the shade material from a start position to an end position in a generally continuous manner. However, in doing so, the motor rotates at a fast rate thereby causing elevated noise levels. In response to an automated movement command, power is supplied to the motor by cycling power to the motor between a powered state and an unpowered state thereby moving the shade material from a start position to an end position in an incremental manner. While moving the shade material in this incremental manner is slower, it is substantially quieter. The preferred mode of operation is selected based on whether the movement command is a standard movement command or an automated movement command.
