Emergency Alert systems such as air raid sirens inform the population that an emergency has occurred, however, they do not provide any information about the type of emergency and the actions to be taken. By sending emergency messages to the communication devices within an emergency area which are played back aloud, more detailed emergency information can be provided to a large part of the population affected.
