  • Patent number: 10978621
Abstract: A light emitting element, used behind a display, comprises LED chips emitting blue light and separated red and green phosphor layers on the LED chip, the layers receiving the emitted blue light and respectively converting the same into precise colors for the display. A portion of the light directly from the LED chip is also combined with the converted light and passed on as lighting for the display. Partial absorption of green light by the red phosphor and red light by the green phosphor, occurring when the red and green phosphor layers are overlapped, is avoided. Light conversion efficiency of the green and red phosphor layers is thereby improved. A light emitting assembly, a display device, and a method for making the light emitting assembly are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210012727
Abstract: A method for controlling a light source of a liquid crystal display (LCD) device includes dividing each frame of image to be displayed into a plurality of areas and obtaining a first brightness value of each area. Any difference between the first brightness values of any two adjacent areas is determined to be less than or greater than a preset threshold. If greater, the first brightness value of at least one of the two adjacent areas is adjusted to be a second brightness value, so as to increase the difference in brightness between the adjacent two areas. If less than or equal, the second brightness value of each area is rendered equal to the first brightness value. Light intensity or brightness of the light-emitting elements is thus adjusted for a high contrast display of areas where this is required.

  • Patent number: 10266956
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for manufacturing an electro-catalytic honeycomb for controlling exhaust emissions, comprising steps of: providing a honeycomb structural frame including an outer surface, a plurality of airflow channels and a plurality of partition walls, and contacting the outer surface of the honeycomb structural frame with a molten metal to attach the molten metal in the plurality of partition walls to form a reducing environment. Accordingly, through the reducing environment in the partition wall and the oxidizing environment of a lean-burn exhaust contacted by a cathode, the electro-catalytic honeycomb generates an electromotive force between the partition wall and the cathode to drive the nitrogen oxides in the lean-burn exhaust to decompose at the cathode in order to control exhaust emissions.

  • Publication number: 20160290192
Abstract: A two-stroke compression ignition engine includes a casing, a fuel supply unit, a rotary unit, a piston, lubrication oil and an oil baffle. The casing includes an end portion, a cylinder chamber, a crankshaft chamber, an intake port, an exhaust port and a bypass. The fuel supply unit is provided at the end portion and used for supplying fuel into the cylinder chamber. The intake port is used for supplying air into the cylinder chamber. The air within the cylinder chamber is compressed and then heated to become high-temperature air during the movement of the piston toward top dead center. The fuel is ignited by the high-temperature air to produce an explosion to drive the piston for a reciprocating motion. The oil baffle is provided for passing the air while blocking the lubrication oil from entering the bypass. Thus it ensures the air entering the cylinder chamber is clean.
