  • Patent number: 8412866
Abstract: A system and method of dynamically switching the threshold of a data queue, such as FIFO, is disclosed. The data queue has a first threshold and a second threshold, wherein the first threshold is greater than the second threshold. The data queue is dynamically switched between the first threshold and the second threshold according to different power state of a central processing unit (CPU). A system memory is requested to fill the data queue with data whenever amount of the data queue is less than the switched first/second threshold.

  • Publication number: 20070223742
Abstract: An audio control system with a hot plug-and-play mechanism and a method thereof, which can effectively solve the defects that devices of a conventional high definition audio specification must be fixed on a mother board and cannot be hot plugged and played so that the convenience and the time efficiency in use can be enhanced. The audio control system includes an audio controller, a first audio encoder/decoder and a second audio encoder/decoder. The audio controller has a first reset signal and a second reset signal. The first audio encoder/decoder is coupled to the audio controller and receives the first reset signal. The second audio encoder/decoder is coupled to the audio controller and receives the second reset signal. The hot plug-and-play mechanism can be achieved when the audio controller selectively enables the first reset signal or the second reset signal.

  • Patent number: 7243073
Abstract: A method for realizing virtual multi-channel by spectrum analysis is disclosed. The low-frequency-effect sound data is obtained by averaging sound data of left and right channels in the two-channel sound source and filtering the average by a first low pass filter. The central channel sound data is obtained by averaging sound data of the left and the right channels in the two-channel sound source and filtering the average by a second low pass filter. The surround right and left sound data is obtained by copying sound data of the left and the right channels in the two-channel sound source, respectively.

  • Patent number: 6925508
Abstract: A recording method for improving interrupted interferences, for use in a recording apparatus. First, a buffer is allocated, and then, the size of the buffer is checked. If the size of the buffer is smaller than a minimum recording segment, an alternative buffer is allocated; otherwise, data is recorded to the buffer. Then the data is recorded to the alternative buffer, the data in the alternative buffer is interpolated to the buffer.

  • Publication number: 20040037426
Abstract: A apparatus formed on a motherboard of computer complied with PC99 standard for converting to six-channel output from two-channel is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a CODEC, a MIC_IN connector switch, first, second, and third filters, and a resistor circuit. In a six-channel output mode, the rear left and rear right surround signals and LINE_IN_L and LINE_IN_R signals are fed into the third filter.
