  • Patent number: 12486930
Abstract: A fastener for connecting a coated conduit to a fitting or to another coated conduit includes a bushing and polymeric material coating and surrounding an external surface of the bushing. The bushing includes internal and external threading The polymeric material includes a central portion coating at least the first end of the bushing, a first flexible sleeve extending from the central portion in a first direction and creating a cavity, and a second flexible sleeve extending from the central portion in a second direction, opposite the first direction. The external threading of the bushing is configured to be threaded into a fitting or conduit such that the first flexible sleeve fits over a circumference of the fitting or a coated conduit, and the internal threading of the bushing is configured to be threaded onto coated conduit such that the second flexible sleeve fits over a circumference of the coated conduit.

  • Publication number: 20250067375
Abstract: A fitting includes a first end having a first threaded portion configured for connection to a coupling device; a second end having a second threaded portion configured for connection to a conduit body; a hollow core extending from the first end to the second end; a flange surface provided between the first end and the second end and configured to interact with a gasket and the coupling device to create a sealed connection; and a shoulder extending from the flange surface to a center portion and the center portion extending to the second threaded portion. A combination of the shoulder and the center portion allow for play with regard to a rotational position of the center portion while an enhanced engagement and sealed connection is maintained between the fitting and the conduit body. A conduit system including a fitting is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20240426406
Abstract: A fitting adapter for a conduit system includes a body having a first end, a second end, a hollow core, a lip, a recess, a flange, and a gasket formed of a polymeric material, sized and configured to be received by the body, and having a rim. The recess and the flange are sized and configured to receive the rim. The fitting adapter is configured to interact with a conduit or a transition adapter and a conduit body or a device box to form a sealed connection where a conduit or transition adapter is connected to a conduit body or a device box. A conduit system includes a conduit or transition adapter, a conduit body or device box, and a fitting adapter. A method of connecting a conduit or transition adapter to a fitting adapter and a conduit body or device box forms a hygienic and sealed connection therebetween.

  • Patent number: 12170438
Abstract: A conduit body includes a sidewall defining an internal chamber and at least two ports providing access to the internal chamber, and a cover connectable to the sidewall to enclose the internal chamber. The sidewall defines a first surface section adjacent one of the at least two ports, a second surface section adjacent another of the at least two ports, and a radiused transition section connecting the first surface section and the second surface section and configured for reducing frictional drag of a cable pulled though the internal chamber. The first surface section is spaced apart from the second surface section to increase a volume of the internal chamber.
