  • Patent number: 6720070
Abstract: A hydrophilic polyester fiber is supplied with an aqueous mixed dispersion on the surface and made hydrophilic by being heated at 35° C. or higher, and the aqueous mixed dispersion employed contains a polyester-polyether block copolymer composed of a polyester component and a polyether component and is stable at lower than 35° C. and precipitates the polyester-polyether block copolymer when its dispersion state is broken by being heated to 35° C. or higher.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 27, 2001
Date of Patent: April 13, 2004
    Assignee: Toyo Boseki Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Tadaaki Hamaguchi, Hiroshi Maruyama, Shigeki Tanaka, Hisao Nishinaka

  • Patent number: 5593525
Abstract: There is disclosed a structured fiber material with a three-dimensional network structure containing non-elastic crimped short fibers (A) and three-dimensionally crimped composite fibers (B), the fibers (B) being partially interlocked with each other, in which contact portions the fibers (B) are partially heat-bonded with each other; the fibers (B) being partially wound around the fibers (A) at their contact points, in which contact portions the fibers (A) and (B) are partially heat-bonded with each other; and the material having an apparent density of 0.005 to 0.10 g/cm.sup.3. Also disclosed is a process for producing the structured fiber material.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 8, 1995
Date of Patent: January 14, 1997
