    Abstract: A host computer in a communication system measures a round trip time (RTT) returned from a destination terminal when a connection is established on a virtual communication path on a network interface card (NIC) for each connection. When the RTT is larger than a predetermined threshold, the host computer starts storing transmission data in a retransfer buffer in an OS of the host computer, and transfers the transmission data to the NIC. When the RTT is smaller than the predetermined threshold, the host computer starts transferring the transmission data to the NIC and stores the transferred transmission data in a retransfer buffer in the NIC.

    Abstract: In a control method of communication system in which primary packet output from an information processor in a transmitting end is sent to a network after fragmentation into a plurality of secondary packets in a communication controller at the transmitting end, and a plurality of secondary packets are sent to an information controller at the receiving end after reassembly for recovery of the primary packet by the communication controller at a receiving end, a reassembly header for processing the primary packet is sent to the information processor at the receiving end before the reassembly processing of the secondary packets is finished, and protocol processing in which the information processor analyzes the reassembly header is executed in parallel with reassembly processing of the packets in an information controller.

    Abstract: A header processing unit divides each received packet into a header section and a data section. Adapter memory stores each packet. A packet reassembly processing unit generates a new header, based on the header section of each of the plurality of packets and notifies a host computer of the new header and a plurality of pieces of location information indicating the storage position of each of a plurality of data sections stored in the adapter memory. A DMA control unit reads the plurality of data sections from the adapter memory, according to a transfer instruction generated in the host computer, using the location information and transfers it to the host computer.

    Abstract: An ID lending system uses an ID management table having a correlation between an ID and a request source which specifies a source of a lending request of the ID. An ID lending unit searches the ID management table for a request source upon receiving a lending request of an ID from the request source, replying with an ID to the request source wherein the ID corresponds to the request source. An ID lending continuation verification unit receives a lending continuation request of the ID from the request source to which the ID lending unit replied with the ID. When a predetermined time period has not elapsed since the lending continuation request was received, the ID lending unit does not reply even when the lending request is received from the request source to which the ID lending unit replied.
