  • Patent number: 11274005
Abstract: A sheet conveyance device includes a transmitter circuit, a receiver circuit, an integrator circuit which performs charging of electric charge outputted from the transmitter circuit and outputs a judgment voltage, a drive circuit, and a control circuit. The drive circuit feeds a drive signal to the transmitter circuit. At a lapse of a wait time after changing a level of a transmission instruction signal to a level instructing to feed the drive signal to the transmitter circuit, the control circuit makes the integrator circuit start to perform charging. When adjusting the wait time, the control circuit performs processing for adjustment a plurality of times. The control circuit makes the wait time different in each execution of the processing for adjustment. The control circuit determines a new wait time based on a magnitude of the judgment voltage recognized in each execution of the processing for adjustment.

  • Patent number: 10417539
Abstract: A processor causes a transmission circuit to output a carrier signal intermittently. Each time the carrier signal is output, the processor determines whether or not a level of a detection signal is in a satisfactory state. In a first case where the level of the detection signal is determined to be in the satisfactory state, the processor performs a read control to cause the transmission circuit to perform a precharge process and a transmission process. In a second case where the level of the detection signal is not determined to be in the satisfactory state, the processor determines that the unit attachment portion is in a unit non-attachment state. In the first case, when the processor succeeds in identifying the developer information, the processor determines that the unit attachment portion is in a unit attachment state, and otherwise, determines that the unit attachment portion is in an exceptional state.

  • Patent number: 10241468
Abstract: A toner container attachment detecting device includes a reader-writer, a shutter made with an electrically conductive material and provided movably between an open position where the shutter is kept from influencing a carrier wave radiated from an antenna of the reader-writer and a covering position where the shutter influences the carrier wave, and first and second displacing portions. When the toner container is attached to an apparatus body, the first displacing portion displaces the shutter to the open position. When the toner container is removed from the apparatus body, the second displacing portion displaces the shutter to the covering position. A radio field intensity detecting section of the reader-writer detects a radio field intensity of the carrier wave and a determining section of the reader-writer determines, based on a detection result of the radio field intensity detecting section, whether or not the toner container is attached to the apparatus body.

  • Patent number: 8867935
Abstract: A power control device includes a power control unit, a power switch, a timer unit, a power supply switch, and a connection instruction unit. The power control unit is driven by power supplied from a power source. The power switch outputs a detection signal to the power control unit. The timer unit outputs a switch-on signal for giving an instruction to turn on the switch. The power supply switch switches between connection and non-connection of the power source and a load. The connection instruction unit outputs a connection instruction signal for connecting the power source to the load. The power control unit outputs a stop signal for stopping the output of the switch-on signal to the timer unit before a time point at which the predetermined time elapses when the power is supplied from the power source. The power control unit outputs the switch-on signal to the connection instruction unit.

  • Patent number: 7643534
Abstract: A clock signal generating section generates a clock signal of a predetermined frequency. A frequency spreading section spreads the frequency of the clock signal generated by the clock signal generating section based on a predetermined spread ratio. A controlling section sets the spread ratio of the frequency spreading section in accordance with a used state of a serial communication device and a parallel communication device. The clock signal controlling device having the above arrangement enables to suppress an electromagnetic wave emitted from an electronic device, and to keep a computation processing speed in the electronic device, and an operation speed of the electronic device from unduly lowering.

  • Publication number: 20070080786
Abstract: When, based on a detection signal from a cover opening/closing detection portion 25, a CPU 20 recognizes that a cover is open, that is, a switch 61 is in an OFF state, the CPU 20 forbids wireless communication between a first transmitter-receiver 26 and a wireless tag 30. By contrast, when, based on the detection signal from the cover opening/closing detection portion 25, the CPU 20 recognizes that the cover is closed, that is, the switch 61 is in an ON state, the CPU 20 permits wireless communication between the first transmitter-receiver and the wireless tag 30.

  • Publication number: 20070030494
Abstract: In a copier 1, when RFID wireless communication is performed between a first transmitter-receiver 18 and a wireless tag 21 fitted to a toner container 20, based on a table in which different transmission output values of the first transmitter-receiver 18 are written from the lower limit value to the upper limit value, wireless communication is first performed at the lower limit transmission output value, and if a CPU 10 finds that RFID wireless communication is not being performed properly, the first transmitter-receiver increases its transmission output stepwise according to the table until proper wireless communication is achieved.

  • Patent number: 7123491
Abstract: An AC adaptor has a switching regulator for converting alternate current to direct current. Filters are provided to filter conducted noise, and a filter switcher switches to the filter to be used in the AC adaptor. A detector detects power consumption state of an electrical apparatus. A state-filter relations storage stores correlations between the power consumption states of the apparatus and the filters to determine the filter that meets requirements so that the conducted noise to be filtered in the AC adaptor is suppressed to a standard limit value or less and so that power consumption is made lowest among the filters. A filter switching controller controls the filter switcher to switch to the filter to be used in the AC adaptor in correlation to the detected power consumption state of the electrical apparatus.
