The system changes, based on a traveling situation of the vehicle, an upper limit speed at which the vehicle can travel in the first traveling state. The system performs notification to the passenger of a request for a predetermined operation at a timing when a traveling speed of the vehicle reaches a predetermined speed when switching from the first traveling state to the second traveling state. A difference between the upper limit speed and the predetermined speed is increased in a case where the upper limit speed is high compared to a case where the upper limit speed is low.
