  • Patent number: 4768641
Abstract: An apparatus for conveying continuous corrugated elongated members having a conveying belt which conveys the corrugated members in the longitudinal direction thereof, a rotor which has open slots for receiving the corrugated members and which is rotatable about an axis parallel to the axis of the rotor, a driving device for intermittently rotating the rotor, a transferring device for forcing the corrugated members fed by the conveying device into the open slots, a plurality of cartridges having grooves for receiving the corrugated members, a carrier for intermittently carrying the cartridges in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, and a pusher for pushing the corrugated members received in the open slots of the rotor out of the open slots into the receiving grooves of the cartridges.

  • Patent number: 4767394
Abstract: A method and apparatus for making axial-flow filters wherein a sectorial-shaped sheet of filter material having corrugations therein parallel to the curved ends thereof is made from a flat sheet of filter material, and thereafter the corrugated sheet is made into an annulus to obtain the final product. Initially, an edge portion of a flat sheet of filter material is attached to a sectorial-shaped mold, having a mold surface defined by curved ridges and valleys parallel to the curved ends of the mold, so that the sheet is slanted up away from the mold surface from the smaller curved end of the mold. Thereafter a set of curved forming blades is moved down toward the mold to engage the sheet and to fold it successively and consecutively across the ridges of the mold and beneath the edges of the blades into the valleys of the mold to corrugate the sheet.

  • Patent number: 4690349
Abstract: A device for supplying a long length of a material such as a metal strip, wire, thread, and the like, having an accumulator between a material supply source which holds and supplies the material and a feeding mechanism which feeds the material to the following process. The accumulator is provided with first rollers pivotally mounted on a fixed bridge, and second rollers pivotally mounted on a movable bridge. The movable bridge moves up and down relative to the fixed bridge. The material supplied from the supply source is passed alternately over the first rollers and second rollers in such a manner that it is led straight up and down, and is then fed to the feeding mechanism. A controlling mechanism controls the material supply source to feed the material, or to stop the feeding, according to the position of the movable bridge.

  • Patent number: 4625499
Abstract: A loading device including a frame, a stopper provided along the path through which the products are fed to the predetermined location, a threaded column supported in the frame and rotating in such a manner that the upper surfaces of the threads thereof move clockwise in a direction toward the stopper, a motor rotating the threaded column, and a conveyer supplying the product to the threaded column in such a manner that the product is engaged with the portion between the screw threads. The threaded column has external screw threads turning in a direction toward the predetermined location when the threaded column rotates. The portion between the screw threads receives the product to urge the product along by frictional force from the rotation of the threaded column until the end of the product butts against the stopper. This portion also feeds the product to the predetermined location while urging the end of the product against the stopper.
