  • Patent number: 6827347
Abstract: A paper sheet processing device that accommodates various types of paper sheet performs a smooth accommodating action by accurately performing a full-state detection action in respect of the accommodated paper sheets. Full-state detecting unit 2 of the paper sheet container (paper money container) stores current values exceeding a reference value as detection signals a, b, c and, of the stored detection signals a, b, c, determines that the stacker 42 constituting a paper sheet accommodating section is full based on the detection signal c stored in the substantially latter half period K′ of the paper sheet accommodating action period T′ by the paper money guiding unit 43.

  • Patent number: 6755414
Abstract: A paper sheet feeder (1), comprising a bill feeding means (4) having a motor (11) for feeding a bill (A) as a paper sheet along a bill feeding route (2), a bill detection sensor (15) disposed in the bill feeding route (2), and a control means for stopping the driving of the motor (11) after the bill passes the bill detection sensor (15) and positioning the bill (A) at a specified position on the downstream side of the bill detection sensor (15), wherein the control means (25) controls the driving time of the motor (11) after the bill (A) passes the bill detection sensor (15) based on a time (T1) required for the bill (A) to pass through the specified interval of the bill feeding route (2) positioned on the upstream side of the bill detection sensor (15).

  • Patent number: 6681036
Abstract: A paper money identification method and apparatus which can detect when paper money being conveyed slips and identify the paper money according to its slip. A roller pulse synchronized with the rotation of pushing rollers for pushing the paper money to conveying belts is generated by an encode plate and an interrupter, the generated roller pulse and a motor pulse synchronized with the rotation of a motor for driving the conveying belts are compared for their pulse widths, and when there is a difference between their pulse widths, it is detected that the paper money has slipped. And, a feature of the paper money is detected in synchronization with the roller pulse, and the paper money is identified according to the detected feature.

  • Publication number: 20020185811
Abstract: A paper sheet feeder (1) comprises a paper money feeder (4) having a motor (11) for conveying paper money (A) along a paper money feeding route (2), a paper money detection sensor (15) provided in the paper money feeding route (2), and a controller for stopping the drive of the motor (11) after the paper money (A) has passed the paper money detection sensor (15) and positioning the paper money (A) at a prescribed position downstream of the paper money detection sensor (15), wherein the controller (25) are constituted so as to control the drive time of the motor (11) after the paper money (A) has passed the paper money detection sensor (15) based on the time interval required for the paper money (A) to pass through a certain sector of the paper money feeding route (2) positioned upstream from the paper money detection sensor (15).
