The coupling member is provided so that a position of the post-swing ground contact point is closer to the axial line than a position of the post-swing ground contact point in the left-right direction before the first member swings, the ground contact point being a center in an area on a surface of the rear wheel in contact with a road surface, the post-swing ground contact point being the ground contact point after the first member swings about the axial line.

Abstract: A portable engine generator has a box-shaped case defining an internal space for holding an engine and an electric generator to be driven by the engine. The case is provided with carrying handles. The portable engine generator is provided with a cooling air passage through which fresh air as cooling air flows into the internal space while the engine is in operation. An inward depressed part is formed in a front cover of the case on the side of the internal space with respect to the carrying handles. The carrying handles and the inward depressed part define the cooling air passage. The cooling air passage serves as a hand space into which human hand is inserted to grip the carrying handles.

Abstract: A full-covered portable generator composed of a generator core, an engine for driving the generator core enclosed by a cover comprising discrete front, rear and bottom cover elements. The rear cover element is detachably joined to the rear cover element along lateral peripheral surfaces of the generator. The engine and its main components are each covered at least in part by the front cover element in a manner that they are exposed when the rear cover element is detached from the front cover element, for facilitation of the maintenance thereof. Various controls and readouts or displays are arranged on the front cover element transversely of the generator, preferably in an order corresponding to the required order in which they are operated or read. A carrying handle is arranged on an upper surface of the front cover element and extends transversely of the generator.
