  • Publication number: 20090031223
Abstract: Provided are a chat system for achieving good communication among users, a control method for a chat device and devices in a chat server, and an information storage medium. A message transfer unit (11a) transfers a message to a transmission destination game terminal upon receipt of the message, and a stop restriction unit (11e) transmits an instruction to restrict chat function stop processing to a transmission source game terminal. Also, a stop restricting time calculation unit (11b) calculates a stop restricting time T depending on the count of characters in the message, and a timer unit (11d) activates a timer to measure an elapsed time E. When the elapsed time E reaches or exceeds the stop restricting time T, the stop restriction unit (11e) transmits an instruction to release the restriction of the chat function stop processing to the transmission source game terminal.

  • Publication number: 20080234022
Abstract: To provide a game device for presenting to a player inputting the amount of operation while utilizing a gauge, the length of a gauge which corresponds to a desired amount of operation. In a game device in which an object placed in a virtual three dimensional space is moved by a distance according to the displayed length of the gauge when the player carries out a predetermined operation, a target position to which the object is going to be moved is obtained (S102), a distance between the target movement position and the present position of the object is calculated (S103), and the length of the gauge corresponding to the calculated distance L is calculated based on the distance L (S104). Then, the target length of the gauge is presented based on the calculated length of the gauge (S105).

  • Publication number: 20070232375
Abstract: Provided is a game machine allowing a game player to give an instruction to perform predetermined game processing to the game machine and an instruction of the condition of when the predetermined game processing is started. The game machine performs game processing at given time intervals, updates one or more game-related parameters, and causes the update to be reflected on a game screen. A storage unit (50) stores a parameter condition representing the condition of parameters in correspondence with each of a plurality of items of operation information indicating details of an operation for making the game machine execute given game processing. A judging unit (56) judges whether or not the one or more parameters satisfy the parameter condition corresponding to operation information indicating details of a game player's operation. A game processing executing unit (58) starts executing the given game processing in accordance with a judgment made by the judging unit (56).

  • Patent number: 7207886
Abstract: There is provided a game system which makes it possible to implement a transaction desired by a side which receives a game element. When delivering a game element from a user of a first game machine 1 to a user of a second game machine 1, transaction information for identifying game elements possessed by the user of the first game machine is provided to the second machine. In the second game machine, a list of acquirable game elements is displayed according to the provided transaction information. The user of the second game machine is urged to select a game element to be acquired, from the displayed game elements. The selection result is returned from the second game machine to the first game machine. In the first game machine, data identifying the possession state of game elements is updated so as to decrease the game element deprived of from the possession range of the user.
