Patent number: 9278387Abstract: A method for producing a leaf spring having a leaf portion and an eye portion formed at the leaf portion including: forming a gap between a leading end of the eye and a facing surface facing the leading end, and shot peening an inner surface of the eye via a reflection member, wherein, at a cross section perpendicular to an axial direction of the eye portion, the leading end of the eye faces the facing surface so a straight line does not cross the leading end of the eye, the straight line connecting an intersection point and a center point of a reflection member surface, the intersection point being the intersection of a line perpendicular to the facing surface extending through an endpoint of the leaf side of the leading end of the eye to the surface.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2011Date of Patent: March 8, 2016Assignee: NHK SPRING CO., LTD.Inventors: Akira Tange, Kiyoshi Kurimoto, Yurika Goto, Iwao Shigeoka, Tadakazu Kato, Shinichi Inoguchi

Patent number: 8622933Abstract: There is provided a medical guidewire which reduces the resistance with a curved guiding catheter, and has improved durability that can keep the resistance reduced for a long time. A core shaft of the medical guidewire has a second cylindrical part, with a smaller diameter than that of a coiled body, on a proximal end side of the coiled body. This second cylindrical part is coated with a hydrophilic material. Further, the hydrophilic material coated on the second cylindrical part has a larger thickness than a hydrophilic material coated on the coiled body.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2010Date of Patent: January 7, 2014Assignee: Asahi Intecc Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hideaki Maki, Shinichi Goto, Tadakazu Kato

Publication number: 20110178504Abstract: There is provided a medical guidewire, which is capable of reducing the sliding resistance generated in the case of pulling the medical guidewire inside a catheter, a tubular organ or an intracorporeal tissue, and thus has favorable manipulability for a physician who performs an operation. An area between a proximal end portion of a coiled body and a core shaft is formed in streamlined shape. It is thus possible to reduce the sliding resistance generated in the case of pulling the medical guidewire inside the catheter, the tubular organ or the intracorporeal tissue. Hence it is possible to provide the medical guidewire with favorable manipulability for the physician who performs the operation. It is to be noted that the streamlined shape is preferably formed by use of a brazing material that joins the proximal end portion of the coiled body with the core shaft.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2010Publication date: July 21, 2011Applicant: ASAHI INTECC CO., LTD.Inventors: Hideaki MAKI, Shinichi GOTO, Tadakazu KATO

Patent number: 6881194Abstract: In a wire-stranded hollow tube (1), a plurality of metallic wires (8) preformed with a predetermined forming rate are twisted along a circular line into a careless hollow configuration. When twisting the metallic wires (8), the neighboring metallic elements (1a, 1a) are subjected to compression with no gap between the neighboring metallic elements (1a, 1a). This increases a contact pressure between the neighboring metallic elements (1a, 1a) to attain a good tightness with a good circularity and diametrical uniformity secured therebetween, thus preventing the wire-stranded hollow tube (1) from inadvertently collapsing. A tightness is strengthened between the neighboring metallic elements (1a, 1a) when the metallic elements (1a, 1a) of different helical pitch are used. By applying the wire-stranded hollow tube (1) to a medical guide wire, a quick torque response and a good torque transmissibility are ensured which lead to a good manipulatability with a favorable follow-on capability.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 2002Date of Patent: April 19, 2005Assignee: Asahi Intec Co., Ltd.Inventors: Naohiko Miyata, Tomihisa Kato, Kenji Miyata, Toshiya Osawa, Kazumi Matsuo, Ryuji Kusuda, Yoshinobu Nakagoshi, Tadakazu Kato
