  • Patent number: 5594836
Abstract: An ennoversion management system is adapted to a data processing system executes a desired process by naming as objects single processing units and/or composite processing units which are combinations of the single processing units and combining the objects. In the ennoversion management system, a real world is understood as an object model, the real world is made to correspond to an extension and a connotation, the connotation is placed in an information concealed region, and ID information which specifies the connotation in correspondence with the extension is formed. The real world is described by a dynamic world and a static world forming a world of the objects in correspondence with the extension, a system mechanism is given as a static model with respect to the static world using classes and/or composite classes, and a session corresponding to a motion of the dynamic model is given as a dynamic model with respect to the dynamic world using instances of the composite classes and/or the classes.

  • Patent number: 5586326
Abstract: An object base data processing apparatus executes a desired process by naming, as objects, single processing units and/or composite processing units which include single processing units and combines the objects. A parts attribute file stores the object parts using entity data forming the objects and meta data describing a nature of the objects, methods and/or classes for realizing individual processes, which are information groups in a procedural world, stored as objects. An object management unit communicates with the object parts in the parts attribute file to execute the desired process. A class schema describes a method name for at least one method entered in the class by combining at least one of the methods into the class. An instance schema generates an instance linked to a method specified by the class schema. The object parts correspond to the composite processing unit linking the methods described in the class schema and contents of the instance schema.

  • Patent number: 5572733
Abstract: A data processing system for executing a process. Classes and composite classes are formed by combining methods. Instances are formed and correspond to the classes and composite classes. The real world is analyzed as an object model which includes a static world, a dynamic world and a cause and effect relationship. The object model has a corresponding extension and a corresponding connotation. The connotation is in an information concealed region, and identification information identifies the extension and connotation. A system mechanism is created with respect to the static world using the classes and composite classes, where the system mechanism is a static model for the static world. The instances are used to form a session corresponding to motion with respect to the dynamic world, where the session is a dynamic model for the dynamic world. The cause and effect relationship of the object model is generated from the dynamic model into the static model.

  • Patent number: 5555427
Abstract: A system for distributing processing between terminals (T.sub.1 .about.T.sub.n) connected via a communication network (30). Each terminal (T.sub.i) is provided with at least one method group (32) and a memory unit (34) to store data files. An originating terminal, e.g., terminal (T.sub.1) accesses data elsewhere in the distributed system by generating a message. The message includes a terminal code identifying an object to access a terminal (T.sub.2) to execute an object, a method code identifying a method for accessing the data and a command name containing or identifying the desired data. The terminal, e.g., terminal (T.sub.2), containing the desired data, decodes the message and accesses a data file in the memory unit (34) containing the desired data identified by the command name. The message may also include a selector and reset conditions which control the sequence of data processing in the terminals (T.sub.0 and T.sub.n) so that the processing of the originating (T.sub.1) and data accessing (T.sub.

  • Patent number: 5548751
Abstract: The system provides a data storage system program 18 between a user and a physical memory device 14 which stores file records 20. The data storage system 18 stores records as linked record segments 40/51 that can be randomly located within the memory storage device 14. The segments 40/51 are linked by a next segment address found in a next segment address field 50/56 of a record segment 40/51. When a record needs to be expanded and the current record segment 1000 is not large enough to accommodate the expansion, another record segment 1082 is allocated and used. If variable length record segments 40 are used, only a single record extension is required. However, if fixed length record segments 50 are used, the system allocates sufficient fixed length record segments to store the additional data.

  • Patent number: 5528671
Abstract: In a network control system connecting terminal units providing at least a chat function to make communication with the other terminal units on a real time basis while connecting the keyboard and executing mutual communication between the terminal units, the terminal unit which becomes the transmitting side describes the mode corresponding to the function to be executed and sets a communication code corresponding to such mode within a communication command to be transmitted. The transmitting terminal indexes a connection timing table and also connects or disconnects the line for communication to the distant terminal unit on the basis of contents of the connection timing table in order obtain cost-effective application of the communication network.

  • Patent number: 5519861
Abstract: The present invention is a system that converts a vertical file (28) of time series data records from multiple terminals (10-14) and stored by time into a horizontal file (52) where records are organized by terminal (10-14). The user can then access the desired terminal information rapidly in the horizontal file (52) rather than having to perform an inefficient sequential search of the vertical file (28). After the terminal data is horizontally stored, the data is used to create display or print-out windows of the terminal data for many locations. Each window includes the data from a single terminal (10-14). For example, each window could include a graph of rain data for a location. The system also creates a cross reference table (76) of the addresses of the data used to create each window.

  • Patent number: 5513348
Abstract: A data retrieval system for a relational database, for retrieving a relational table in a relational database having parts separately identifiable within the system. A link data file stores link data which include parts descriptors that describe command names assigned to parts located at table item positions of the relational table, attribute descriptors which which describe command names of parts arranged in a row of the relational table corresponding to the command names described by the parts descriptors, and mode descriptors which describe command names of parts arranged in a column of the relational table corresponding to the command names described by the parts descriptors. An actual data file is provided for storing actual data related to the command names of the parts which form the relational table. A link process responds to requests for retrieval from the relational table.

  • Patent number: 5479614
Abstract: In a computer system, a device which takes the real area as the objects (1-1, . . . ) and selects dynamically the real data (11) as the actors (2-1, . . . ) and the method (42) for processing such actors, is provided, objects (1-1 . . . ) are formed by capsulating the instance including real data (11) as the parts and the method (42) and thereby data processing is carried out mainly with the actors (2-2 . . . ), namely the real data. In view of dynamically forming an object (1-2) capsulating the real data (instance) (11) and the method (42), a part called the object sensor which indicates the real data (11) given the meaning by the command is prepared, the command is sent and received in the data processing means by the object modeling the real area, and thereby new type and practical object-oriented data processing just suitable for processing of multi-media data, distributed processing of data base and processing of network system can be realized.

  • Patent number: 5408608
Abstract: A distributed data base system is formed by terminal units connected in a public network or a private network. Each terminal unit stores respectively the real data and a temporary center for storing the one or a plurality of control information among various pieces of control information, such as contents corresponding to each real data, keyword or command assigned to data. Moreover, check information set up for acquiring security is provided as the one of the terminal unit. A terminal unit utilizing data obtains identification information of terminal units storing relevant real data by inputting contents, commands or keywords by accessing the center and reading or extracting the necessary real data through the network from a terminal unit having real data based on such identification information but is capable of restricting users (terminal units) which are allowed to read the open data in accordance with the degree of importance of the data.
