Abstract: An IC-card holding apparatus improving the availability, the convenience, and the usefulness of a non-contact IC card. The IC-card holding apparatus may communicate with a non-contact IC card held therein to read out information from the non-contact IC card and obtain the type of the non-contact IC card held therein and usage history information. The IC-card holding apparatus may display an image corresponding to the type of the non-contact IC card. The usage history may also be read out and displayed. For example, information (e.g., place name or shop name) about a position where the non-contact IC card has been used may be displayed and/or the use position may be presented on a map image.

Abstract: There is provided an electronic wallet device using electronic value concerning a prescribed service by means of a non-contact type IC card capable of non-contact communication with an external unit, including a holding section to hold the non-contact type IC card, an external communication antenna to perform non-contact communication with the external unit, a card communication antenna to perform non-contact communication with the non-contact type IC card held in the holding section, a value storing section capable of storing electronic value, a charge section to charge the value storing section with electronic value, and a value transfer section to transfer electronic value stored in the value storing section to the non-contact type IC card on condition of success of authentication of an owner of the electronic wallet device by an authentication section when using electronic value by means of the non-contact type IC card.

Abstract: An information processing method, includes steps of detecting a use range set for one of digital money expressed in digital data and a use right of the digital money, and a use status of one of the digital money and the digital money right when one of the digital money and the digital money use right is used, determining whether the use status falls within the use range, and permitting the use of one of the digital money and the digital money use right if the use status falls within the use range or not permitting the use of one of the digital money and the digital money use right if the use status falls out of the use range.
