  • Publication number: 20070181492
Abstract: A chip carrying type chip filtration and discharge device for separating chips from a cutting lubricant including the chips produced by metal cuttings such as cutting and grinding. The device comprises an apron type conveyor inversed on a conveyor tail part side and a chip carry-out part side and rotatingly running and a filtration drum disposed on the inside of the apron type conveyor. The device is characterized in that a bucket is installed on the inside of the apron type conveyor and, after the chips accumulated at a conveyor tail part is collected by the rotation of the conveyor, the chips are discharged to the outside of the conveyor, and an opening part for flowing out the cutting lubricant after being filtrated by a filtration filter is formed in the filtration drum.

  • Patent number: 4992167
Abstract: A filtering apparatus for filtering cutting oil containing metal chips so that the filtered cutting oil can be recycled includes a reservoir, a filtering drum journalled within the reservoir and having a filtering screen support and a filtering screen extending about the periphery of the drum and secured to the drum by the filtering screen support, a chip discharge device including a belt entrained around guide rollers for carrying separated metal chips out of the reservoir, a discharged chip receiving bin disposed outside the reservoir adjacent to the discharge end of the chip discharge device and a filtered oil receiving bin disposed outside of the reservoir adjacent to a filtered oil discharge area of the reservoir. The drum is rotated by a motor located atop the reservoir and connected to the drum. An air spray device extends within the drum for spraying air at the filtering screen to dislodge any metal chips clinging to the screen.

  • Patent number: 4724077
Abstract: A filtering apparatus for filtering chips out of chip-containing waste liquid which includes a cutting oil collection tank and a filtering drum rotatably mounted in the tank. A waste liquid supply means, and a chip transport conveyor are provided for supplying chip-containing waste liquid into the filtering drum and removing chips therefrom, respectively. The filtering drum also includes annular guide groove members and buckets slidably supported by the guide groove members for removing larger chips while allowing smaller chips and oil to pass therethrough. The buckets prevent the larger chips from damaging a surface of the filtering drum on which the smaller chips are collected.
