  • Patent number: 6523632
Abstract: A vehicle capable of turning a vehicle body with a relatively small turning radius and with a good operability in a turning operation. One of front and rear pairs of left and right wheels, to which a running torque produced by a vehicle driving source is not transmitted, is arranged for rotation concerning respective axes perpendicular to the ground. For turning the vehicle body, the one pair of left and right wheels are fixed at angular positions along tangential directions of an arc which passes the axes perpendicular to the ground of the one pair of left and right wheels. At these angular positions, a rotating torque is applied to the one pair of left and right wheels to turn the vehicle body substantially about the center point of the rotating axle for running the vehicle of the other pair of left and right wheels.

  • Patent number: 5570086
Abstract: A data carrier system which uses a power sourceless electromagnetically coupled data carrier, wherein two-way data communication is made possible between a fixed facility and a data carrier. Provision is made for a synchronizing means which renders the frequencies and phases of AC magnetic fields emitted from the fixed facilities to be the same among a plurality of fixed facilities, such that interference will not take place among the plurality of fixed facilities even when they are arranged close to one another. Moreover, the electric power induced in the antenna of the fixed facility by the AC magnetic field generated from the data carrier is synchronously detected by using a synchronizing signal controlled by said synchronizing means.

  • Patent number: 4602871
Abstract: A thermistor thermometer has a reference resistance correcting section for controlling the number of pulses of an oscillation signal to a predetermined reference value. The oscillation signal is sampled in response to a measuring time signal at a reference temperature. The reference temperature is given as a predetermined temperature below a possible operating temperature range. The thermistor thermometer also has a sensitivity correcting section for operating the thermometer for first and second operating intervals at different counting rates. The first and second operating intervals constitute a sampling period of the measuring time signal. The first and second operating intervals of the sensitivity correcting section are switched over in response to a reference count signal from a temperature counter. The temperature counter counts the oscillation signals sampled in response to the measuring time signal and generates temperature data.

  • Patent number: 4563748
Abstract: A temperature measuring system which includes a CR oscillator circuit and a logarithmic transformation circuit. The CR oscillator circuit employs at least a thermistor as the resistance element for forming a time constant with a capacitor which serves as the capacitance element, the oscillation frequency of the oscillator circuit varying with a change in ambient temperature. The logarithmic transformation circuit subjects the information obtained from the CR oscillator circuit to a logarithmic transformation, whereby said information is logarithmically compressed to provide numerical data approximately dependent upon ambient temperature.
