    Abstract: A differential signal represented by a voltage difference between two signals that propagate through two signal lines is input to a signal processing circuit from a connector. A first suppressing circuit and a second suppressing circuit suppress peak values of the two signals. A DC removing circuit removes DC components of the two signals. A common mode choke coil (noise removing circuit) removes common mode noise included in the two signals. The DC removing circuit and the noise removing circuit are disposed between the first suppressing circuit and the second suppressing circuits. If the voltage of the signal line is a first threshold voltage, a current flows through a first suppressing device (first connection device). If the voltage of the signal line is a second threshold voltage, a current flows through a second suppressing device (second connection device). The second threshold voltage is less than the first threshold voltage.

The purification step includes: a flash evaporation step of separating the reaction mixture into a vapor-phase mixture and a liquid-phase mixture; a first distillation step of distilling the vapor-phase mixture to thereby separate and remove low-boiling point components and obtain crude acetic acid; and a second distillation step of introducing the crude acetic acid into a heavy ends column and distilling the crude acetic acid to thereby purify the crude acetic acid and obtain product acetic acid. In the second distillation step, the low-boiling point components remaining in the crude acetic acid are drawn out from a column top of the heavy ends column.

    Abstract: While developing a therapeutic agent for human arthritis by using a pentosan polysulfate sodium injection, the inventors of the present invention found that minute particles were generated due to delamination in an ampule of a pentosan polysulfate sodium injection for treatment of human arthritis. Although a pentosan polysulfate sodium injection has been used over the past 30 or more years, such findings had not been obtained. Accordingly, the present invention was achieved in order to prevent the occurrence of delamination in a pentosan polysulfate sodium injection. Based on the thought that using a lyophilized pentosan polysulfate sodium preparation makes it possible to prevent delamination in a pentosan polysulfate sodium injection, the inventors of the present invention investigated various lyophilized preparations and various methods for manufacturing the lyophilized preparations.
