  • Patent number: 10971862
Abstract: When a swaging portion (71) of one shell (60) is swaged to a cable (5), even in a case where a main body (42) of the other shell (40) receives tensile force through a sandwiching portion (43) sandwiched between the swaging portion (71) and the cable (5), the risk of pulling the main body (42) of the other shell itself is reduced, and deformation and damage of the other shell (40) are prevented. A cable connector includes a housing (20) configured to hold one end of a cable (5) and a first shell (60) and a second shell (40) including main bodies covering at least a portion of the housing (20). • Patent number: 10707625
Abstract: In a typical connector, multiple terminals are not arranged at regular intervals on the same plane. Thus, impedance matching for transferring a high-frequency electric signal cannot be established, leading to problems such as lowering of high-frequency characteristics. For solving these problems, a connector is provided. The connector is a substrate-side connector including multiple terminals arranged in parallel on the same plane and bent at bent portions, an insulator configured to hold the multiple terminals, and an outer conductor shell configured to house the insulator. The substrate-side connector is configured such that a change in a terminal interval at each bent portion of the multiple terminals is reduced, and therefore, influence on the high-frequency characteristics (e.g., a return loss) due to impedance matching disturbance can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 10522950
Abstract: It is intended to enhance elastic force of an arm and reduce a plate material necessary for forming the arm to effectively use a resource. Provided is a connector fittable to a partner connector, the connector including an insulating housing, a contact, and a conductive shell. The shell includes at least a metal shell formed from a single metal plate. The metal shell includes a cover portion configured to cover at least part of a side portion outer peripheral surface of the housing, an elastic arm having a free end on the side of fitting to the partner connector, and a support portion coupled to a lateral side of the elastic arm to elastically connect the cover portion and the elastic arm and configured to support the elastic arm in a cantilever manner. The cover portion and the elastic arm have substantially opposing surfaces. The elastic arm has a lock portion configured to lock fitting between the connector and the partner connector at a position closer to a free end side than the support portion.

  • Patent number: 10490946
Abstract: In a typical connector, one or more ground terminals need to be, in addition to signal terminals, arranged between signal terminals formed in pairs or between one signal terminal pair and the other signal terminal pair. This leads to a problem that the number of components forming the connector is increased and an internal structure of the connector is complicated. A connector is provided, which is a substrate-side connector including two terminal groups arranged along a connector fitting direction to face each other, an insulator holding the terminal groups, and an outer conductor shell housing the insulator. In the substrate-side connector, a shell mounting portion for mounting the outer conductor shell on a substrate is, passing through between the two terminal groups, mounted between a mounting portion for a group of terminals of multiple terminals included in one terminal group and a mounting portion for a group of the terminals of multiple terminals included in the other terminal group.

  • Patent number: 10461478
Abstract: Provided is a connector configured so that tensile strength when an attempt is made to forcibly detach the connector from a partner connector can be enhanced. A housing includes a body portion and a fitting target portion extending to the side of fitting to the partner connector. The diameter of a side portion outer peripheral surface of the fitting target portion is, at at least part thereof, smaller than that of the body portion. A conductive shell includes a first shell and a second shell. The first shell includes a cover portion configured to cover at least part of an outer peripheral surface of the housing, an elastic arm having a free end on the side of fitting to the partner connector, and a support portion elastically connecting the cover portion and the elastic arm and configured to support the elastic arm in a cantilever manner.

  • Patent number: 10454220
Abstract: In a typical connector, without closing up a clearance between connectors sufficiently upon fitting with a partner connector, a problem such as significant lowering of high-frequency characteristics due to backlash is caused upon high-speed electric signal transfer. A connector is provided, which includes multiple terminals, an insulator holding the multiple terminals, and an outer conductor shell housing the insulator. In the connector, an inclined portion raised from a side wall of the outer conductor shell is provided at a side wall portion which is to contact an edge portion of a fitting recessed portion of a partner connector.
