  • Patent number: 5489967
Abstract: In a magnetic printing apparatus wherein a demagnetizer 2 as a latent image eraser, a magnetic head 3 constituting a latent image former, a developer 4, a transfer roller 5, a fixer 6, and a cleaner 7 are disposed in this order around a latent image carrier 1, a recording paper 15 including a stack of plural sheets of carbonless paper is fed, transported, and discharged, a single-component dry toner 8 is used, and pressure transfer is made by a transfer roller 5 at a load per unit roller length of 5 kgf/cm or more, thereby achieving printing and copying.

  • Patent number: 4994226
Abstract: A method of producing a synthetic resin made article having a porous elastic member, which is useful as an air duct opening/closing damper adaptable in air conditions for automobiles, including the steps of:placing a porous elastic member in position against the inner wall surface of one of the opposing segments of an injection mold splittable into two or more segments;closing said injection mold and compressing said porous elastic member by the clamping pressure;casting a synthetic molding resin along the surface of said porous elastic member; andapplying a dwell pressure of a preset level for a prescribed period of time to the synthetic resin injected into said mold, anda method of producing a synthetic resin made article having porous elastic members, which is useful as an air duct opening/closing damper adapted in air conditions for automobiles, which includes the steps of:placing the porous elastic members in position against the inner wall surfaces of each pair of opposing segments of an injection mold

  • Patent number: 4884586
Abstract: A coupling device for a hat-like umbrella frame consisting of a coupling member and a rib stretcher. A visor rib comprising an outer segment with a smaller diameter than the inner segment thereof is pivotably connected to a main rib and a respective rib stretcher. The coupling member is substantially U-shaped with an opening at one end thereof. The coupling member is disposed between the rib stretcher and the visor rib for allowing the visor rib to pass through. The outer segment of the visor rib is freely slidable within the opening of the coupling member. The inner segment of the visor rib is unable to pass through the opening member so that a sliding movement between the visor rib and the coupling member will be stopped.

  • Patent number: 4710908
Abstract: Apparatus for compensating for physical deviations due to warp and surface deflections in optical discs during optical recording and reproducing operations. Focus error signals are developed corresponding to the individual addresses of the physical deviations and the extent of deviation from the in-focus position of the focusing lens by moving a light pickup under control of a microcomputer radially of the disc so that N given radial pitch intervals are defined relative to the record surface of the optical discs and M circumferential address positions of each rotation of the disc. The detector detects the focus error signal values at M.sub.x N.sub.x address locations which are memorized in a memory storing M.times.

  • Patent number: 4677021
Abstract: An air-flow control valve of the structure in which a soft foamed sheet (2) is joined to one or both surfaces of a valve body (1) made of a synthetic resin as a unitary structure via a sheet (3) for preventing the oozing of resin. The ooze-preventing sheet (3) is stuck with an adhesive or the like onto one surface of the soft foamed sheet (2) in advance, and a synthetic resin for forming the valve body (1) is placed on the stuck surface of the foamed sheet (2). Or, another foamed sheet (2) with its sticking surface being on the lower side is further placed thereon, followed by stamping. Therefore, the foamed sheet (2) is not peeled off, and the air-flow control valve exhibits sufficient buffer function against the rigid valve body (1).

  • Patent number: 4470341
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an air intake device for a compartment of automotive vehicle provided with a transversely elongated space between a rear end portion of an engine hood panel and a substantially horizontal plate of a cowl outer panel for inducing air to a compartment therefrom. The improvement comprises a windshield lower moulding plate arranged above the horizontal plate of the cowl outer panel in such a manner that it strides across a lower end portion of a windshield glass and extends transversely from one of fender panels of the vehicle to another, a second tube provided between the windshield lower moulding plate and the horizontal plate of the cowl outer panel to communicate with first tubes defined inside of the fender panels and an air inducing aperture opened through the horizontal plate covered with the windshield lower moulding plate.
