  • Patent number: 6076149
Abstract: For a data processing device having a main memory comprised of a non-volatile memory and a CPU, memory protection and security are ensured for its programs and so forth. An auxiliary memory for storing security bit data is provided, for example, in an EPROM that comprises the main memory. Assuming that the result read by the CPU is "0" when a current flows between a drain and a source of a transistor in the EPROM, and "1" when the current does not flow, then the security bit data read from two transistors A and B are A=1 and B=1, which means they are set so that access to the main memory and a write to the auxiliary memory are prohibited. With A=0 and B=0, security is set, but a write to the auxiliary memory is permitted; with A=1 (0) and B=0 (1), security is reset.

  • Patent number: 5745411
Abstract: A semiconductor memory device that permits the threshold voltage Vth of a cell transistor to be measured easily and inexpensively is provided. A semiconductor memory device 1 is provided, which has a plurality of cell transistors C for storing predetermined data and is operative at a preset operating voltage Vdd, wherein during normal operation, said operating voltage Vdd is applied between a control gate and a source of each of said cell transistor C, and wherein during testing operation, a test voltage Vcc which is at lower potential than the operating voltage Vdd is applied between the control gate and source of each of said cell transistors C independently of the operating voltage Vdd.

  • Patent number: 5499210
Abstract: A low power consumption semiconductor memory device that can read stored data at a faster access time, while minimizing power consumption is provided. In accordance with the logic states on a pair of bit lines on which an information signal stored in the memory cell and an inverted version of that information signal are placed, it is detected that the information signal is placed onto the bit line, and then the information signal on that bit line is read onto the data signal bus.

  • Patent number: 5268795
Abstract: A door mirror including a stay, a bracket that is made of a fiber reinforced synthetic nylon resin having glass fibers that form 50 percent of the total weight and is pivotally disposed on the stay, and a drive unit disposed on the bracket, to which a pair of main mirror bodies are fixed. This configuration reduces the weight of the bracket and the door mirror.

  • Patent number: 5148436
Abstract: First and second EPROM transistors are coupled in series to a power source, a third EPROM transistor is connected in parallel with the series connection and a two input NAND gate has a first input connected to the junction between the first and second EPROM transistors by an inverter and a second input connected to the drain of the third transistor. The first and third transistors are programmed with the EPROM and the second transistor is not. When a read signal is applied to the gates of all three transistors a predetermined signal will be available at the output of the NAND gate if the EPROM read condition is not faulty.
