  • Patent number: 6706978
Abstract: A spherical movable contact is housed in housing portions of a first case and a second case so as to be able to roll, and is to come into or go out of contact with a first fixed contact and a second fixed contact. The first case and the second case are fixed to each other so as to form an integral body in such a manner that the first fixed contact and the second fixed contact are opposed to each other. At least one of the first fixed contact and the second fixed contact is divided. The movable contact is disposed so as to roll while bridging the first fixed contact and the second fixed contact. Contact portions where the movable contact is to contact the first fixed contact and the second fixed contact assume arc shapes, respectively.

  • Patent number: 4770296
Abstract: The present invention discloses a seal construction for electrical parts such as switches. It comprises a casing having a cavity therein, a tape adhered to an upper surface of the casing to block the cavity, and one or more lug portions provided on the tape. The lug portion has a sharpened shape.

  • Patent number: 4749827
Abstract: A slide switch has a pair of opposed, fixed terminals provided on a wafer, and a movable slider contact having two pairs of bifurcated movable contact portions at both ends for slidably contacting the fixed terminals to open or close the switch. Precious metal plating is provided on one pair of the bifurcated movable contact portions at one end of the movable slider contact but not on the other pair of bifurcated movable contact portions at the other end of the movable slider contact.

  • Patent number: 4282415
Abstract: A rotary pulse switch for digital tuners or the like comprises a rotor which is provided with a plurality of protrusions spaced at equal intervals on the peripheral edge of one surface thereof and to which an operation rod is fixed. A housing receives the rotor in a rotatable manner and contact members are respectively disposed at right and left ends within the housing. A member slidable rightwards and leftwards is held midway between both the contact members. By rotating the operation rod a predetermined angle clockwise or counterclockwise, the protrusion of the rotor moves the slidable member rightwards or leftwards so as to be able to turn the contact member "on" repeatedly at the right or left end.

  • Patent number: 4275279
Abstract: First and second cover plates are snapped together in parallelism to sealingly define therebetween a switch chamber. First and second sets of contacts are fixed to the first and second cover plates inside the switch chamber and a rotor disc formed with electrically conductive patterns on both sides is rotatably supported inside the switch chamber so that the first and second sets of contacts engage with the patterns on the opposite sides of the rotor disc respectively. The switch contacts are retained by interlocking projections of the first and second cover plates which also serve to prevent transverse relative movement between the cover plates.

  • Patent number: 4121477
Abstract: A rotatable and axially movable detent disc is formed with a periphery having a triangular cross section. The sides of the triangular cross section are formed with circumferentially spaced triangular detent grooves. A detent member is resiliently urged against the periphery of the disc for yieldable detent disc holding engagement in the detent grooves. The grooves provide a plurality of rotational detent positions corresponding to the number of grooves and the apex of the triangular cross section of the periphery of the disc provides two axial detent positions with the apex on either side of the detent member respectively.
