  • Publication number: 20250130642
Abstract: A tactile feedback apparatus includes a pressable portion on which a pressing action is performed by a pressing portion, a detection unit that detects an external force acting on the pressable portion or detects a position of the pressing portion with respect to the pressable portion, a vibration actuator that applies vibration to the pressing portion, a storage unit that stores waveform information for driving the vibration actuator so as to provide the pressing portion with a specific tactile sensation, and a control unit that causes the vibration actuator to vibrate based on the waveform information at a specific point in time in the pressing action. The specific point in time is based on the external force or the position detected by the detection unit.

  • Publication number: 20240338078
Abstract: A tactile feedback apparatus includes a display unit that displays a visual object, a storage unit that stores waveform information expressing a tactile sensation of the visual object, a vibration actuator that provides a user with a tactile sensation based on vibration, and a waveform editing unit that edits the waveform information. The vibration actuator vibrates based on the waveform information in a case in which a targeted area of the user's body for the tactile feedback by the vibration actuator comes into contact with the visual object. The waveform editing unit updates the waveform information stored in the storage unit based on an operation associated with completion of the editing.

  • Patent number: 11315599
Abstract: An information processing device including a mode control unit that determines a replay mode from replay mode candidates including a user dependent mode where output and replay are performed dependently on a user's action and a user independent mode where output and replay are performed independently of the user's action, and a output control unit that controls output and replay of an image, based on the replay mode.

  • Patent number: 11287893
Abstract: A haptic feedback device includes a dielectric elastomer actuator (DEA) and a driving unit. The DEA includes at least one dielectric layer, electrode layers sandwiching the dielectric layer, and a transmitting layer that forms an outermost layer. The at least one dielectric layer includes an expansion-contraction portion, which expands and contracts when applied with a voltage, and a heat generating portion, which generates heat when applied with a voltage. The haptic feedback device is configured to transmit vibration to a user via the transmitting layer by applying an expansion-contraction voltage between the electrode layers sandwiching the expansion-contraction portion through the driving unit, and transmit heat sensation to the user via the transmitting layer by applying a heat generating voltage between the electrode layers sandwiching the heat generating portion through the driving unit.

  • Publication number: 20210012807
Abstract: Problem: An information processing device, an information processing method, and a program are to be provided. Solution: An information processing device including: a mode control unit that determines a replay mode from replay mode candidates including a user dependent mode where output and replay are performed dependently on a user's action and a user independent mode where output and replay are performed independently of the user's action; and a output control unit that controls output and replay of an image, based on the replay mode.
