    Abstract: A coating composition comprises (1) a partially hydrolyzed siloxane compound, (2) one or more of alkali metal and zinc salts of naphthenic acid, (3) acetic acid, and (4) other organic solvents. This composition contains these components in appropriate proportions. The composition is coated on the surface of an acrylic resin object and is cured. The coated acrylic object possesses excellent properties such as surface hardness, mar resistance, solvent resistance and stress-crazing resistance.
