  • Patent number: 8936861
Abstract: A sealed battery (10) provided by the present invention includes: a current cut-off valve (22); and a connecting member (30) having an engagement hole (34) formed in a location adjacent to the current cut-off valve. The current cut-off valve is conductively connected to the connecting member by joining linearly to a peripheral edge of the engagement hole and/or joining at a surface that is in contact with an inner wall of the engagement hole in a state in which part of the current cut-off valve is fitted into the engagement hole. When an internal pressure of a battery case (40) rises above a predetermined level, the current cut-off valve is deformed outward of the case by the internal pressure, the current cut-off valve is separated from the connecting member, and the electric connection between the connecting member and the current cut-off valve is broken.

  • Patent number: 5652680
Abstract: In the optical coupling system where the space between projection lens and CRT is connected with a liquid, this invention aims to offer a projection lens unit wherein the angle of CRT relative to the optical axis of projection lens (tilt angle) may be changed by quite a simple operation; thereby the CRT tilt angle can be reset to an optimum when the angle of projection oblique to a screen shifts. Namely, a first housing and a second housing in which an optical coupling liquid is contained and sealed are coupled together with an watertight structure like a piston and cylinder and fixed, and a ring cam for regulating the relative space and tilt is held between the two housings; by fastening the two housings together with bolts, etc. the two housings can be set at a desired relative positioning.

  • Patent number: 5580145
Abstract: A rear projection type television receiver of the invention comprises a cabinet having a built-in television receiver, and a screen assembly. The cabinet has a rectangular groove formed around the circumference of the front edge portion. The screen assembly has screen holding plates elastically coupled to each side of the screen, and screen frames coupled to screen holding plates. The screen frames are coupled in a rectangular form. The screen assembly is coupled with the cabinet when the screen frames are inserted into the front groove of the cabinet.

  • Patent number: 5548350
Abstract: A projection type television receiver in which the screen is maintained on the framework despite temperature changes or external force application, and also a large screen video display apparatus which displays video images with minimal loss of picture area, characterized by easy installation or removal of the screen holding framework, and which is excellent in maintainability. A plurality of a projection type television receivers are arranged in multiple rows and lines for the purpose of displaying a large screen video image. Each projection type television receiver comprises a permeable screen with a screening effect, a framework for holding the permeable screen, an elastic member one surface of which is fixed to the peripheral end part of the permeable screen, and the other surface of which is fixed to the framework's holding part of the permeable screen, and which is readily deformable according to applied external forces, and a cabinet having its opening installed within the framework.

  • Patent number: 5400178
Abstract: A rear projection screen unit in a large-size picture display system, composed by combining a plurality of rear projection screen panels arranged in a lattice square with at least one ordinate and abscissa beams disposed between the adjacent screen panels, wherein each of said screen panels intersects with each of said beams which themselves intersect with each other to form the lattice square, and each of said screen panels and ordinate and abscissa beams are connected together by a multiple mortise-and-tenon joint. The lattice square is installed in a outer frame and stressed in the four directions by a resilient members provided on the outer frame. The disclosed structure has minimized the width of the non-effective area in the screen unit, and realized a high reliability in installing strength of the respective screen panels in an integral body suitable for the large-size picture display system.
