  • Patent number: 7394250
Abstract: A portable small mine detecting device for detecting a mine by transmitting a radio wave and detecting the NQR of nitrogen 14 atoms (14N) contained in the mine using a high-sensitivity, high-temperature superconducting SQUID magnetic sensor. The mine detecting device can be applied to non-metal mines and can detect different kinds of explosive substances simultaneously.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: July 1, 2008
Assignee: National Institute of Materials Science
Inventors: Hideo Itozaki, Kyoko Kawagishi, Tadayuki Kondo, Tadashi Shimizu, Kenjiro Hashi
  • Publication number: 20060122484
Abstract: A small chemical substance detecting device capable of detecting, by transmitting a radio wave, the NQR of an atom contained in a chemical substance by means of a high-temperature superconducting SQUID magnetic sensor exhibiting a high sensitivity even at a low frequency without unsealing the chemical substance contained in a package or a container. The detecting device can also identify the chemical substance at the same time.

    Publication date: June 8, 2006
Applicant: National Institute For Materials Science

  • Patent number: 5832021
Abstract: A digital delay-locked loop (DLL) circuit of high synchronous maintaining precision, which is usually affected by the quantization error of signal digitization, is provided for a spread spectrum communications receiver for mobile communications system. Three correlation sections are provided for calculating the correlation values in the peak phase, in the phase leading the peak phase and in the phase lagging behind the peak phase respectively in a delay profile on the basis of a received signal. A control section calculates the difference of the correlation values between the value in the lagging phase and the value of the advancing phase, and determines the threshold value for controlling a spread code generation section.
