    Abstract: The device comprises a two-dimensional display panel (20) composed of interchangable unit modular (24). Each module is composed of display elements which are nematic or smectic LCD cells. Half-tones may be produced by either changing the contrast of the LCD or in subdividing each display element into several unit cells which are, as desired, switched to light or dark and thus producing the impression of a more or less dark dot. The device serves to communicate information in the form of fixed or changing images or sign groups and can also be used for advertisement.

    Abstract: A hygienic toilet seat assembly where the toilet seat has the shape of a key ring with the overlapping placed at the rear region of the seat. A flat tubular protection cover is moved over the seat to protect it from being soiled and to protect the toilet user from contamination. Due to the overlapping configuration, the whole surface of the seat is covered by the protection tube. The seat can be lifted like conventional seats.

The image display system comprises a generally flat display screen which is subdivided into a plurality of display mode modules, each display module being composed of a plurality of display elements. Each display element allowing the display of an image dot, comprises a plurality of display sub-elements which are hollow cylinders, having a dark half surface and a clear half surface, rotatable by 180.degree.. Electromagnetic means are provided to actuate all display sub-elements for resetting and setting of the image. The display sub-elements of an element provide the display of the grey values of said dot.The electromagnets of each module are controlled by a binary digital control unit.

    Abstract: An image display system and process are disclosed. The image display system comprises a generally flat display screen which is subdivided into a plurality of display mode modules, each display module being composed of a plurality of display elements. Each display element comprises at least one rectangular display cell wherein a projection block is movable between a retracted position, where it is invisibly lodged within the cell, and an advanced position, where it is visible from outside by the display's viewer. Each projection block is fixed to a slide movable in the two directions perpendicular to the front plane of the display. Means are provided to simultaneously actuate all slides in their retracting and their advancing movement.
