  • Patent number: 7305315
Abstract: The present general inventive concept relates to a method of compensating tilt using a two-axis geomagnetic sensor and an acceleration sensor and an apparatus. Using the principle where a geomagnetic field value measured in a state where one axis of the two-axis geomagnetic sensor is set up vertically is identical to a Z-axis geomagnetic field value, the Z-axis geomagnetic field value can be evaluated by using two axes of the two-axis geomagnetic sensor. Accordingly, an azimuth angle can be easily calculated, so that the azimuth angle changed by tilt can be compensated. Therefore, there is an effect that a constant azimuth can be always output even though tilt occurs. In addition, when a module of the two-axis geomagnetic sensor and the acceleration sensor is used in a mobile equipment, the two-axis geomagnetic sensor can automatically measure geomagnetic field values of three axes by a simple motion where a user vertically sets up or rotates up and down the mobile equipment.

  • Publication number: 20070195915
Abstract: In a clock noise canceling circuit, a coupler extracts a signal from a clock signal. A filter selects a harmonic component of a preset frequency in the extraction signal from the coupler. A phase shifter phase inverts the harmonic component of the preset frequency from the filter. An AGC amplifier amplifies the phase-inverted harmonic component from the phase shifter. Also, a combiner combines the amplified component from the phase shifter with the clock signal to eliminate the harmonic component of the preset frequency from the clock signal. A power detector detects a power level of the harmonic component of the preset frequency in an output signal of the combiner. Additionally, a controller controls gain of the automatic gain control amplifier based on the power level of the harmonic component detected by the power detector, thereby canceling noises.

  • Patent number: 7235772
Abstract: In a CMOS image sensor of the invention, a dynamic range is varied at a per-pixel level by a light amount to prevent saturation without degrading color reproduction of an overall image. A photo diode generates charges in accordance with a received light amount. A drive transistor amplifies the charges generated in the photodiode at a given gain. Further, a saturation detector receives an output voltage from the drive transistor and judges the image sensor saturated if the output voltage is beyond a limited level. A switch switches on/off in response to the judgment of the saturation detector. Also, a plurality of floating diffusions store the charges of the photodiode transferred through the switch. The floating diffusions are selectively connected to both the photodiode and a gate of the drive transistor at on/off the switch.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for processing image data of an optical mouse. In the method for processing image data of an optical mouse, direction and size values of motion vectors which are image data consecutively inputted from an image pixel array are filtered with respect to X and Y axes by a filter. A predetermined number of motion vectors converted by and outputted from the filter are accumulated, and the accumulated values are mapped to conversion values to attenuate noise components and amplify directionality of the motion vectors depending on a speed of the optical mouse by a mapper. The values mapped by the mapper in a plurality of pipes are stored, and a value obtained by adding the plural stored values to each other and dividing the added result value by a conversion factor is transmitted to a personal computer (PC) interface such as a Universal Serial Bus (USB) or PS/2.
