  • Patent number: 7773673
Abstract: In a method for motion estimation using adaptive patterns in a video sequence compression system, an initial search pattern located at a center of a search window in a block of a video frame is determined. A location of a minimum block distortion measure (BDM) is searched in the initial search pattern. A horizontal search pattern for functioning on the search window is determined in the horizontal direction to search a location of a minimum BDM in the horizontal search pattern. A vertical search pattern for operating on the search window is determined in the vertical direction to search a location of a minimum BDM in the vertical search pattern. The location of the minimum BDM in each pattern is designated to be a motion vector. A search pattern to be used in a subsequent searching stage is determined based on the location of the minimum BDM in each pattern.

  • Patent number: 7454042
Abstract: In an apparatus for online signature verification, a signature data input unit digitalizes a locus of a user signature and reads the locus as a sequence of points. A first and a second pattern transform unit performs a speed equalization and a velocity transform on the signature sequence and generates a first and a second transformed pattern sequence, respectively. A characteristics extraction unit extracts three characteristics vectors from the signature sequence, the first and the second transformed pattern sequence, respectively, to thereby generate the three characteristics vectors. A difference vector estimation unit generates a difference vector. A determination unit determines whether an input signature and the reference signature are signed by a single person.

  • Publication number: 20070046885
Abstract: An LCoS chip designed to suppress electrical noise due to cross-talk between electrical components of the chip and stray light entered into the chip. The LCoS chip includes a silicon substrate having an array of memory cells formed thereon. The chip includes the first polycrystalline silicon layer that forms word lines and a metal layer that forms bit lines, wherein the bit lines are directed orthogonal to the word lines. The chip also includes capacitor storages formed of the second and third second polycrystalline silicon layers. The second polycrystalline layer is disposed over the first polycrystalline silicon layer and over regions of the substrate not covered by the word lines. The metal layer includes shields to reduce cross-talk between neighboring bit lines as well as between the bit lines and capacitor storages. • Patent number: 6965699
Abstract: A camera information coding/decoding method for synthesizing stereoscopic real video and a computer graphic image is disclosed. The method stores the camera information generated when picturing, which is not contained in the existing multimedia contents coding standard, that is, the location motion information of the camera and the camera viewpoint displacement information, together with contents as the camera motion information stream. The camera information obtained through the camera position sensor and the camera viewpoint displacement sensor when picturing image is coded and stored together with the contents, thereby easily and precisely synthesizing with the computer graphic image. In addition, since the information may be easily transformed to the descriptor of the camera motion information of MPEG-7 format, there is another advantage of easily carrying out camera motion information indexing operation among searching methods of the multimedia contents.

  • Patent number: 6383049
Abstract: This invention is to bond a supporter of a shadow mask in a flat cathode ray tube to a panel. The method comprising the steps of: washing a rail, which is a supporter of a shadow mask, and a panel of the flat cathode my tube so as to remove impurities; arranging the rail at a certain position on the inner surface of the panel to place in an exact location; applying a predetermined pressure to the panel and the rail by a pressure device in stick closely; raising the temperature of the panel and the rail to a certain degree by a heating device; and applying a predetermined voltage to the panel and the rail so that the panel and the rail form a electrostatic field and are bonded by an electric bonding of the boundary surface. The above method simplifies the bonding process, reduces the size of the panel and prevent the pollution of the cathode ray tube, thereby providing reduced production cost and improved quality of the cathode ray tube.
